Daniela Silva from the Foxton Brixton letting team was by far the best letting agent I have ever dealt with. Everything was perfect and smooth from start to finish. After receiving a quick call from the Foxton office, I was invited to come over to their office in Brixton. 1. Daniela welcomed me in the Foxton office with some water, as I was coming from my tiring commute by tube. 2. She then showed 3 x properties around the area, by car, as well as an extra 4th property that could fit my requirements. 3. Daniela answered all my questions in details, providing me further insights and explanations on how the letting market works in the area with some additional recommendations and tips. 4. Finally, not later than 5min after I left, I received an email from Daniela with a summary of all the properties I had visited. I was really impressed and after selecting a flat, the whole process from passing the referencing to paying the deposit and signing the contract was incredibly smooth. Completed in just 3 days. With responses to all my questions, very efficient emails and no invasive calls at inappropriate time. I have dealt with several letting agents in London in the past and always got very disappointed by the service. Usually, letting agents don’t really care, hide things and just want to rent you a flat quickly, get your money and not provide any service. I am very pleased with the 5 stars service I have received, how I was looked after during the whole process and how professional and friendly Daniela and the Foxton Brixton team was towards me. Complete fraudsters and scammers running this business. Got stuck in a 2 year contract by these guys.i ended up paying two mortgages- my own house and the property. Because foxton wanted commission.Spent a ridiculous amount of money on repairs which most Foxtons took. Was on the verge of suing them. Do it yourself that taking these fraudsters. Or if u have money be prepared to loose it to these property scammers. Know what you are getting into..U a landlord, runaway from them.... Read more

I had the pleasure of working with William Cooke who helped me through a nightmare sale. Not only did he secure me an above market rate offer, he had to go above and beyond to ensure that the sale went through, with the goalposts constantly being moved. As a seller, Will fought for me throughout. Regular and transparent lines of communication made a huge difference. The sale was close to breaking down multiple times, and without Will I would have not proceeded as I had completely lost faith in the buyers and wanted to pull out of the sale. The sale of my flat took almost a year and Will's guidance, patience and expertise is the reason why I have now sold my flat. I could not recommend Will and his team more highly.... Read more

Put up fake ads on Rightmove/Zoopla to generate interest (because nobody would use them otherwise) and also leave fake reviews on Google. Moved me in to a flooding property, electrically unsafe with no gas safety certificate (off the books also, no "set" price) for 2 years, didn't inform me the place/management was changing hands- Im now due to pay my new landlord rent but Foxtons are trying to scam me into paying them as well (so double rent) they just refuse to engage or reply to any email in an attempt to avoid a paper trail. Pretty sure they bait you with false listings that "just went!" to show you other properties that, unfortunately, are worse value and not represented by the one that prompted you to call. I realised bc I accidentally contacted several agents about the same property months apart, both gave different reasons for why it "just went today/yday!" And one excuse why it was cheaper than all the overpriced lets they were showing me contradicted the listing itself. They're nice and polite enough, but I still get sleazy letting agent vibes. Misinforming you so you think nothing in the area you want exists for your budget (literally been to dozens of viewings to contradict this...) They give free bottled water while you wait in the office though.... Read more

Genuinly dreadful. We let our property through foxtons and paid for their managed service. From start to finish, despite charging massive fees, they were absolutely hopeless. Very slow to respond, agents know very little about the market, they advertised the property incorrectly to prospective tenants, loads of hidden fees, and use useless third parties for tasks like inventory and check out etc. Would strongly advise using another agent to save yourself money and hassle...
