24th Apr 2024 (13 days ago)If I could give zero stars I would. They tried to force us into using their in house broker (which of course they get extra commission for) and they fabricated a cash buyer. Their exact words were “there is a cash buyer but if you use our broker we will go sale agreed with you today”. We now know there was never any cash buyer. It’s actually illegal for agents to insist that you use their in-house broker and Connells have been reported for this before. Funnily enough the call was made from a work mobile so there is no recording. Awful, pushy, lying agents.

Remained in constant contact with updates and progress along the process and has also offered us great help an advise which has been critical for us being 1st time buyers. However Elle was helpful and supportive all the way , we cannot praise her enough !- 21st Apr 2024 (16 days ago)Turned up for a viewing without an appointment and caught my 14 year old getting out of the shower. When I complained to the agent she smirked in my face. Over priced properties and the way they write the property details is laughable. “A tranquil retreat” - it’s an en-suite shower room in a tacky new build. Who are you kidding?

I was a bit nervous when going to view the house but from the moment i met Louise at the viewing site i felt encouraged. She was very friendly and helpful althrough the process. Thank you Louise and Kent Residential for all your support.
3rd Apr 2024 (5 weeks ago)I dealt with Stags Exeter Office letting team on a number of apartments. Advice on rents and marketing proved to be correct every time and in documenting deals agreed they were efficient and thorough. Tess, Jackie and the team were a pleasure to deal with and, when asked, even willing to provide generally tenancy advice on matters outside their role. Would I use them again? Without hesitation.

Always professional, even when it gets stressful, Helen was a godsend and was always at the end of the phone when we needed her. We would highly recommend them to anyone.
19th Mar 2024 (7 weeks ago)Cardens have been the agent for the flat I've been renting for the last 12+ years, and they have always been incredibly helpful. Whenever I've had to contact them about something I get a reply quickly. Beverley in particular has always done her best to help, despite not being the assigned manager for my property she has still been happy to be my point of contact and replied to every single email I've sent over the years. She has also been very approachable, in fact all of the Cardens staff I've interacted with have been friendly. I was actually going through some difficult times a couple of years back and Cardens really went above and beyond to help, whereas most landlords & estate agents would've simply just moved on to another tenant. Of course having a fantastic landlord who is very understanding helps, but Cardens have been just as great and thanks to their help I am in a far better situation now. I am grateful to have been able to keep my tenancy for 12 years, which gives a sense of security even during these difficult economic times. From my experience I would definitely recommend Cardens as a lettings agent.

4th Apr 2024 (5 weeks ago)Cooksleys have been great when selling our 2 bedroom end of terrace house. Our agent Jaz came round and took pictures and the house was on the market within 24 hours. We got a weekly report about statistics from Rightmove, and Jaz kept us up to date about interest and potential viewings. We accepted an offer within a week of it being listed. Mary was exceptionally helpful towards the end of the process when nearing exchange and completion, and I'd like to thank her for her determination and updates. I really don't think it would have happened when it did without her. Thank you.
10th Apr 2024 (27 days ago)I cannot thank these guys enough for all the help, both over and above the call of duty, they have afforded myself over the last very stressful couple of months. A massive shout out to the manager Vicky and the agent Paul for being there for me. I would recommend these folk to anyone looking for a new home, particularly if you are going through trying times like myself.

18th Mar 2024 (7 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
