Haven't used them but wanted to give a view on the website. After searching for a specific requirement, you view a property and going back takes you completely out of the selection, meaning you have to input your requirements every time you look at a house. This needs to be amended. Also I could only see at the bottom when interested in a property you have to call (could be wrong but if so wasn't clear could do another way), in all fairness I hate ringing people, needs another option to make contact.

Brilliant estate agents. We didn't end up buying with them but we saw several properties and they were fantastic every time. The estate agent was very relaxed and charming, also accommodating to us with our two small children. It made the viewings relaxed and easy.

We were shown around a property by Jonny, he was able to answer all of our questions that we had and was super friendly. Although the property wasn’t for us, Jonny and Oakheart have been extremely helpful in sending us other properties as we continue to search. Highly recommend Oakheart and Jonny to others!

My first rental property needed to be managed but I admittedly was inexperienced with how to get my property ready in every respect including safety certificates etc. I shouldn’t have worried as Oakheart property lettings guided me through it all and helped me complete everything that was required. Cara’s expert team know what they are doing so you can trust them 100%.They were so thorough, patient and extremely knowledgeable with ensuring everything was in place and found us amazing tenants within a couple of weeks. Was optimistic when first deciding to use these guys. My partners words during the build up to renting out one of their properties were "these guys seem really good I've not had much experience with estate agents but they've been really helpful."
I was more skeptical as having used most estate agents in Colchester over the years I am aware that they're all helpful and speedy in corresponding before they take your money, but then once they have it they couldn't care less about any issues or help you need.... Unfortunately I was right again with these guys.
After moving in we asked about the underfloor heating in the lounge that the estate agent who viewed the property told us they had, turns out there's no heating in that room whatsoever which is a legal requirement. When bringing this up to the estate agents they were working at a snails pace to help us to which we had to constantly email and phone to try and get any update/help with. This was all during the cold spell we had in January and meant we could see our breath when going into the front room! Ended up borrowing a plug in heater from a family member which isn't cheap.
After taking more than a month to sort out a plug in heater themselves to give us (still not the legal obligation) we asked for a reduction in rent or compensation to help with the electricity bill which they flat out refused and told us they don't see what the issue is since the last two tenants didn't have a problem with having no heating.
Flash forward to today and have had a threat from the lettings manager that we can end our tenancy if we're unhappy with the property, which at no point have we inferred that we had any desire to do so.
Avoid this estate agent at all cost, they seem cosey because they are more locally based but that just means if there's an issue it's tough and there's no head office you can speak with to try and get the ball rolling. I've dealt with some terrible estate agents and some decent ones but these guys are by far the worst I've ever had to deal with.
Don't worry though we have a plug in heater we can control with an app...

Summer at oakheart was brilliant, always willing to help and keeping In touch with new properties. Summer arranged viewings on properties quickly and really understood what sort of property we was looking for.
