3rd Apr 2024 (24 days ago)Purchased an office chair recently, came incomplete, missing the whole middle part that puts everything together (see photo). The description did not mention anything about it being incomplete, it just stated "LAZBOY OFFICE CHAIR". The photos did not indicate that there would be missing parts. Now I'm out £168 and pieces of a chair. Please be careful and don't bid to avoid dissapointment and financial burdens.
8th Apr 2024 (19 days ago)The flats I visited before moving in looked perfect, with brand new carpet and freshly painted walls. However, my experience after moving in was far from ideal. The boiler stopped working, and I had to endure almost a week without hot water or heating for me and my toddler. It was challenging to bear the cold weather without heating, and we had to rely on electric heaters to keep ourselves warm. In addition to the boiler issue, the kitchen boards were falling, which posed a safety hazard to my son. I reported this issue to the agent, and it took them over a week to fix it. The delay in fixing this issue was frustrating. At one point, the agent accused me of staying in the bathroom too long, causing the water to get cold. This confused me because it was just me and my son, and we only used the bathroom briefly. Despite explaining my situation to the agent, they did not take me seriously, and it felt like they thought I was making up the issue. After experiencing intermittent heating and hot water, a new boiler was installed, which seemed relief. However, a new issue with the pipes responsible for producing hot water arose, resulting in me heating the house but still taking cold showers in winter. Despite raising these concerns periodically, no one seemed to take them seriously, leading them to believe I was either fabricating problems or being dishonest. Furthermore, I reported a leak in the sink and an unstable toilet seat to the agent, but they did not believe my claims. After a week, they did send a plumber to fix the sink and toilet seat, but no one called me to inform me that they were coming. This was frustrating as I had to stay home and wait for them to finish. Overall, my experience with the flats was disappointing. It felt like the agent did not care about the tenants. Once I moved in, it seemed like they did not take my concerns seriously, and it was disheartening. I hope that in the future, the agents will prioritise the safety and well-being of their tenants.

Her knowledge of the industry, locality and community inspired confidence. KRE did all the viewings, with only accredited valuers showing potential buyers around the property. This service was supported by staff who knew the whole process and always took time out to explain the next steps. A very comprehensive business.

The photographs and virtual tour of the property were exceptional the best ones out there where comparing to other agents. For Sale sign up immediately and supported very well with sale negotiation. Estimated value of property spot on. Sold within one weekm
27th Mar 2024 (4 weeks ago)My son saw a house he liked on Rightmove, so because of his work commitments, I agreed to help him sort it. It is 40years since his dad and I bought our house! Laura Parkinson has been really helpful, talking us through the process, arranged a prompt viewing and when our son wanted to make an offer was very clear and helpful about what was needed, briefing her colleagues so they were able to assist when she was not going to around for a couple of days. She has now handed us on to her colleague to see us through the next stage. So far she has ensured that a potentially fraught process has progressed very smoothly

From the moment I placed my Enquiry on their website, the team (Lyndsy, Katie and Adrian) has been proactive, friendly and helpful. Adrian, one of the letting negotiators who I have been communicating with has been helpful, patient and professional. He has helped me with all the questions and concerns I have had. The team certainly has the knowledge in what they are doing. Thank you.

4th Apr 2024 (23 days ago)This review is specifically for Christabel Hill, Property Relationship Manager at this branch. I deal with Christabel regularly as a tenant in long residence at one of the Thornley Properties. Dealing with admin relating to tenancy, which at the end of the day is a “home” is never an easy thing to do, it’s incredibly anxiety inducing and also daunting. Effectively Christabel is the go between of communication between myself and the landlord. I’m in a very personal situation of ill health at the moment, and Christabel has been nothing short of a diamond asset. In 20 years of dealing with letting agents, some are intrusive, rude and treat you as a commodity . Christabel is the first and leading lady who has been kind, personal and approachable, and I feel comfortable communicating with her all my personal circumstance and business. She’s efficient and quick moving. I would like this to wholeheartedly be recognised by management especially with my case individually. I’m willing for somebody to contact me should they require further endorsement of Christabel’s positive impact on my tenancy. I wish her all the best ongoing.
21st Feb 2024 (9 weeks ago)The team were very pleasant to work with but some points for improvement include: 1. The initial valuation was quite far off what the property ended up selling for. This was because it was based on sold prices in the local area of quite different houses. 2. The opening photo for our property on Rightmove had 9 bins in it - it would’ve been a good idea to move them/ask for them to be moved before the photos were taken. 3. An agent was sent to do a viewing on her last day in the job and told the viewer this and didn’t seem motivated to sell the property.

18th Mar 2024 (6 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
