Greg was extremely helpful in resolving my queries, willingly and promptly doing practical things at the house to resolve issues raised by the surveyor, as I was moving from a distance. Everyone I spoke with there was friendly and efficient, and happy to share local knowledge.
13th Apr 2024 (5 weeks ago)I contacted this Estate Agent ‘four’ times to arrange a viewing, 3 by their online platform & once via telephone, (to which I was notified I would receive a call). Zero response, not even a courtesy call.. extremely unprofessional. I’m now in the process of contacting the owner of the property themselves to inform them.

He recommended a sensible price point to attract offers and then negotiated well which yielded the result I was looking for. Nicola was also always charming and helpful. Purton Wiltshire) didn't disclose that he has a soakaway far to close to property 17. After refusing to move it or my offer to move it we had no option but to pull out as the end result could undermine the foundations and cause damp. Speaking to the Council Surveyor the soakaway needs to be moved to min 5 mtrs away from the property. It might also affect the properties close by. We and our buyer are now left with legal fees as we had already got to contracts. BUYER BEWARE. IT IS SAD THAT THE NEXT INTERESTED PARTY WILL NOT BE INFORMED OF THE SOAKAWAY ISSUE BY THE ESTATE AGENT BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE TO TELL YOU. THEY WILL NOT TELL YOU. THEY HAVE NO DUTY OF CARE TO TELL YOU ABOUT THE PROBLEM.

30th Apr 2024 (20 days ago)Surely the 'Waitrose' of estate agents - we so appreciate the professionalism of the team members: they are great at communicating, especially being proactive about properties of interest, are accessible and engaged. Nothing seems too much trouble. We're buyers from afar, if we were selling in Faringdon then I know who we'd use!

We went through every detail about the property, and he took the time to answer every question I had. I'm now on my way to secure a new flat with Chancellors, and I'm confident it will be a quick and professional experience.
12th Jul 2023 (10 mo. ago)We had arranged to rent a property through them following a video viewing due to where we were at the time and having been assured it had a secure garden for our dog and that it had outside storage as no garage at the property.. both were essential. We paid a substantial holding deposit that has never been refunded even though following a niggling gut instinct that saw us driving 4 hrs to check the property before moving in date saw us discover that in fact the garden was open between the property and the next door property allowing our dog to get through into a public lane that led to a main road or a huge public recreation area, there was no external storage at all, the property had not been decorated in years and windowsills actually had huge chunks of paint missing, the back door had a huge hole in it and the kitchen units were in a dire state.... the current tenants also advised us that the carpets were going as were theirs.... The video never showed us any of this.... It's been a valuable lesson learned..

SHF are a breath of fresh air, getting my properties back to a good standard with great suppliers, keeping me up to date at all times and finding new tenants. Highly recommend them.
