27th Mar 2024 (10 weeks ago)Couldn't be happier with the excellent and beyond duty attention received from Margot as we presented a specially challenging situation to her. We went to Guildford for only 6 months and needed a short term rental that also could accept our temporary status as 'tourists' - me and my wife are from Brazil and had to come back after this period, so finding a place that could check all our requirements was really difficult. And we had to do that remotely from our country (I've never set foot in England before). But Miss Margot not only was incredibly supportive and friendly, but extremely helpful, negotiating with the landlords and keeping ing us informed in all the process, making us to understand all the local requirements. She even made a live view broadcast to show us the properties that we liked the most. And, I must emphasize that we have tried several other state agencies in the Surrey area but most were totally dismissive when we presented our challenges. We even managed to make friends with another couple that Margot helped in last year, that were in a situation just like ours, thanks to her. Reading other reviews from Foxton's, it seems that most people get a very good service from them, but what we've got from Miss Margot was nothing short of exceptional.

He took us through everything we needed to do and explained what was happening and why things were the way they were. Nothing wrong at all he is brilliant. Will's customer service is up and beyond anyone I have ever dealt with. From start to finish, I honestly can't praise him and the team enough, because of this stressful time, Will made things easy. Thank you, Will. Romans, you have got a great asset working for you, plus not forgetting the Aldershot team. My number one choice of Estate Agents is sorry, Romans every time.

During the entire process we had excellent contact and advice from Clive Gee, Seymours progressor, and were grateful for that . Thanks also to Jasper Cox. We certainly would recommend Seymours.

He is very customer focused, and whilst viewing properties with him we never felt rushed and he always provided answers to any questions we had within 24 hours. A pleasure to deal with!

He demonstrated a deep understanding of the real estate market and was able to provide valuable insights and guidance. His professionalism and attention to detail were evident in every interaction. Daniel's expertise and professionalism made the entire process smooth and hassle-free, and I would highly recommend him to anyone in search of a reliable estate agent.

After a problematic survey Charlie waded in personally and we believe that without his dynamism and professional acumen the sale would certainly have fallen through. We would recommend Davis Tate, especially with Charlie at the helm, to all our neighbours and friends in Reading. Thank you Charlie, you are a star.

18th Mar 2024 (11 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
13th Dec 2023 (25 weeks ago)Avoid these people at all cost, our family has been on property for 3 month now. We have 2 small children and nothing gets repaired, the shower doesn't work properly the washing machine is draining into buckets among several other issues that affect our daily life unfortunately we still have 9 more month to go.
15th May 2024 (18 days ago)We had an amazing service from start to finish. Seymour’s were very flexible with allowing us to view the house, very quick to put forward an offer on our behalf. Once the offer was accepted Aiden worked hard to push us through it as quickly possible, 8 weeks later we moved in, the process was very quick and easy, I would highly recommend using Seymour’s and a special thank you to Aiden for making it look so easy!
20th May 2024 (13 days ago)In our urgent hunt for a new home due to work relocation, we were misled by promises of a quick sale from the agency. Despite their encouragement, the completion date kept extending until they abruptly declared the house was off the market. This left us homeless for months, restarting our search from scratch. Disappointing and frustrating experience. Beware of false assurances from this agency.
31st Mar 2024 (9 weeks ago)My review is regarding the lettings team, and the landlord Clydesdale Group or any of their associated companies (e.g., Templeton Stockbridge). More info on issues I've had with the Clydesdale rentals below (Elmfield block and Clydes Dale Court). Make sure everything is in writing. Clarify any ambiguity no matter how small over email. Charters will continuously mislead you and intentionally lie with false information in order to secure deposits and have agreements signed. If this happens, you can contact your financial institute through which you paid. My bank confirmed that my deposit was obtained fraudulently and could be claimed as a scam. They will go back on everything written and verbal (e.g., their recorded calls) and claim misunderstandings every time. They probably won't honour what they initially agreed but it's useful to have the evidence for claims or if you need to get out of the agreement early. If you do rent with them, they will likely send outdated inventories so you have to spend hours fixing and updating it, essentially doing their job for them. And then they'll try to blame you for issues they failed to record on the check in inventory. You need to be really thorough with the inventory to ensure you get your deposit back. They take 3+ months to carry out repairs and hire contractors that do shoddy jobs (that cause further damage) if they even bother to do the repair. There is no communication, you have to chase up everything, and then they try to deflect the blame. Management is just as bad. Finally got in touch with a director 6 months into my tenancy only to get more excuses, minimising, glossing over things, not bothering to look into the details/complaints properly, and taking no accountability. Minimal morals, and minimal care for tenants. What's worse is that Charters staff gaslight you, and are passive aggressive. Staff are ridiculously incompetent, lazy. Elmfield block If you do an Internet search you will see that I am not the only one that was lied to by Charters and vital H&S information withheld. They lied about mould, the type of construction being done, and ongoing water contamination concerns. After being caught out they blamed it on a "new" staff member not being aware, except she wasn't new (she moved from sales to rentals) and the manager also didn't disclose any of these issues on the numerous occasions I spoke with her. Clydes Dale Court - Landlord refused to address mould and damp issues caused by various leaks despite being made aware of their legal obligations. There is a dampness and ventilation issue in the whole building resulting in a silverfish issue. - Charters and the landlord lied to me about which furniture I was going to be provided. I rented a fully furnished house--everything is in writing about which furniture was agreed to and was told that it would be new. On move in day, 90% of the furniture was either missing or not correct, some of it really old and in poor condition. This was never resolved. - I was assured it would be professionally cleaned. There were urine stains on the bathroom wall. Every radiator covered in layers of dust, spider webs, dog hair. Mould on every window sill and in the kitchen walls. Dirty surfaces. Stains on walls and skirting (including a brown stain near the bathroom switch). Overgrown garden with dog faeces, and covered with trash (amounting to bin bag full once picked up). Carpet smelled of wet dog after supposed professional wash for duration of my tenancy. - There is a sewage issue for all the flats that they won't resolve. - Numerous counts of unauthorised entry when I wasn't home despite me stating that I do not want entry without my presence or knowledge and that this is illegal. Also had a contractor try to enter using his own copy knowing that I was home. Contractors have copies of keys to all the flats, which is not safe at all. They eventually changed my locks after 7 months because I had evidence that someone entered while I was on holiday and because I said I was going to report it to the council and the police.

Freddie Milne was very professional, great communicator, honest, very prompt and gave great advice and support. Nothing was too much trouble for him.

29th May 2024 (4 days ago)Great service from Niki, Claire and the team in Waterlooville. When you are selling a property you need to know what's happening all the time and Niki does that brilliantly. You also need level headed advice as and when the odd problem or two crop up - again Niki and the team do that.
