You would think buying a house would be an exciting process, unfortunately this was not the case when we wanted to purchase a home that was up for sale with Connells Newton Abbot.
After 5 months of purchasing (as advertised) no chain home, lack of due diligence meant that we were miss informed, information was not shared, additional costs were not communicated until week 20 and there was little hurry to complete the sale, the seller was using Connells recommended solicitor who seemed to be useless and could not contact the sellers meaning after five months, we decided we had wasted too much time and money to gain nothing.
I wish I had read the reviews before investing, now looking to purchase a new home and dismiss any houses up for sale with Connells - avoid at all cost.
As for the ethics of the business, the sale could not go through due to the management covenant wording, lack of communication from the seller, yet the house was back up for sale in a matter of days, at a reduced price… still more than our offer which was accepted, I hope no one falls for these games that Connells Newton Abbot play!...
