Not pleased how they rip of people by enforcing Tennant insurance this is not compulsory and yet they do not tell you

The lettings team at Leaders is extremely polite and helpful. I would specially like to thank Becky and Anthony for all their support and guidance. They were extremely patient in answering all my queries regarding property letting and management. I would definitely recommend Leaders letting team, especially to those who are first time landlords like myself.

As a landlord for the past 8 years with several properties, I decided to rent a house through Leaders, so I would be in a better position to buy when the opportunity presented itself.
I am writing this genuine review not only as a landlord myself but also as a tenant who was under the management of leaders.
All seemed to be well with Leaders until checkout and I was vacating the property, where they completely lacked integrity...
Firstly, it took over 10 DAYS for them to raise any issue with paying back my deposit but after emailing them twice I then got some answers.
They claimed the following:
£450.00 for damages to the fridge which include;
Replacement upper freezer drawer - £60.00
Replacement lower freezer drawer - £65.00
Two replacement middle drawers £120.00
Replacement salad drawer - £35.00
Fitting - £90.00
Compensation for dent in door - £80.00
Firstly, I was completely fine with paying the £80 for the dent, this was a mistake I made. (Lesson learned, don't rush around when you're moving out)
But the rest I was not happy with, especially with the fact I reported a fridge freezer drawer being broken once I moved in before use, which they said they would ensure this was taken note of so It wouldn't be an issue at checkout. (It wasn't noted, but thankfully I recorded everything which came in handy)
In short, after being a Landlord for the past 8 years, I knew with their expensive charges they were trying to pull a fast one. In 8 years I have never tried to take advantage of tenants and quite frankly its companies like Leaders AND the landlords of the property I was living in, that give landlords in general a bad name.
Of course I disputed the expensive deduction of my deposit that Leaders and the landlords of the property put forward with the relevant deposit scheme and... I won.
Leaders don't try and take advantage of tenants. We all knew... Me, you, the landlords, and the deposit scheme that your charges were ridiculous.
This really did not have to be all drawn out, but you insisted.
I will not be recommending you at all from either a landlord's point of view or a tenant's.

Fabulous experience from start to finish. Louise Deakin helped so much at a stressed time of selling my property, very prompt and professional. On the day of completion Louise came to collect my keys to save me taking them to the shop as I had a new born baby which helped massively! Thank you so much to Louise and the team, would definitely use you again!

I have found leaders and their colleagues to be very efficient and compassionate with any questions I have had about properties that I have been interested in. Always had a call back for my feedback .. I personally spoke to Louise Johnson who was very professional and brochures delivered quickly when selling

Recently went on some viewings with Louise Johnson at leaders Mansfield she was very professional helpful with all my questions about the property’s viewed she knew all that was needed to know about all the property’s felt very at ease with her she very warm friendly agent & I have found a house through her excellent service!

I was the first one that call for an house in Mansfield and they told me that the as soon as the house will be ready for viewing they will let me know , i call again after two days and they tild me the same thing that they have my name i was the first one that make the enquiry and they will call me. I saw today that the house was let agreed . I do not know why they lie to me .
