4th May 2024 (16 days ago)We sold our house through Hackney & Leigh last month. From start to finish the service we received was first class. The photographer who did the fabulous brochure & all the staff in the office were so lovely, helpful, efficient &, very approachable. Even after we sold, subject to contract they carried on working tirelessly to make sure our sale went through smoothly. We found out more from them than our solicitor. We were kept updated every step of the way, I highly recommend them & would absolutely use them if we were moving again.

9th May 2024 (11 days ago)Bad Management, will make the landlord suffer to get their monthly rent paid by tenants by holding it in their bank account by making excuses, we made a big mistake of handing over our Brand new house to these estate agency, who are money mongers, will not respond to your calls, very expensive, told one price when we handed over the keys and almost took the entire month rent and even month additional charges for doing nothing and when we gave notice, kept holding our monthly rents, when we have to pay our mortgage, bills associated with the property, such a big no no to these unorganised, unprofessional, money mongers!! There are online Estate agents who are far better then these so called your move Estate agents who will not charge such a hefty charges and even make EPC free of charge, will do entire maintenance work of the property and will pay you monthly Rent for the term agreed, and there are no conditions, I will advise all landlord to approach those online estate agents rather then falling prey for such irresponsible Property management your move estate agents. Such Estate agents don’t even deserve single star.

16th Jan 2022 (2 years ago)submitted a tenancy application for a home in Barrow. The application asked whether I'd been subject to a Section 21 order. I thought it was an irrelevant question as it had no bearing on ones likelihood to be a good or a bad tenant; however, I answered the question honestly by stating 'no' because I'd only received a Section 21 notice. Only a court can issue an order. Poole Townsend then accused me of lying on the application and it was rejected. In the end, I should be thankful to Poole Townsend because my experience with them caused me to realise that a miserable, economically deprived, unfriendly and uneducated community wasn't the right place for me and that my talents would be better appreciated elsewhere. With estate agents like this it is no wonder Barrow has such a poor reputation.

They really have made a stressful process so much easier. Thoroughly recommended.

24th Mar 2024 (8 weeks ago)Good service and friendly, reliable staff We are glad we chose JH Homes to take care of selling my parents' house From the initial appraisal by Martin and throughout the entire viewing process, we encountered helpful and supportive staff, who kept us updated on a regular basis. In fact, all the staff at JH Homes were friendly, helpful and professional in the service they offered. They were quick to reply to any questions and always kept us updated via email or on the phone. When the property was finally sold they recommended an excellent house clearance company which was also a huge help. All in all we can recommend JH Homes for individual and reliable service when it comes to selling a property.

Our experience was a really positive one especially working with Rob Greenwood who was a complete gentleman who could not do enough to assist and help get our sale over the finish line. We dealt primarily with Jess, who was so helpful and really guided us through what is normally a very stressful time. When Jess wasn't available, there was always someone else on hand to help with any enquiries. Again, brilliant service from the whole team. Friendly, professional, 5 stars.

18th Mar 2024 (9 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Adam is a genuinely nice guy and this, in combination with his impressive knowledge and expertise, got our house sold (for the full asking price) in less than 3 weeks! Since then, Adam has continued to offer us advice and support and has been an absolute pleasure to work with. We honestly couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend him to anyone!

I live in the US, so much of the communication had to happen via WhatsApp, but that went fine - Mark was always quick to respond and clear about all the details.
