20th May 2024 (13 days ago)This has been the single most unprofessional organisation I have ever dealt with. Landlords please go with any other estate agent and save everyone the hassle. The faster this companies goes out of business the better for everyone. Did not resolve issues, ignored complaints, illegally withheld deposit, unjustifiably tried to contest without evidence, but the worst part is their non-existent customer service and aggressive attitude. Had to threaten with legal action and exposing their terrible behaviour via the media to finally get our undisputed deposit released. Do not use.
21st May 2024 (12 days ago)I have been a landlord for many years working alongside Ian Gibbs Estate Management Company. In particular Peter Isaacs, who has been an exceptional part of the company's management. Peter has assisted me throughout the years and has been very professional, courteous and great person to do deal with. He is an asset to the company. I wish him every success in the future as well as Ian Gibbs Estate Management Company.
19th Apr 2024 (6 weeks ago)Just a reminder to everyone about how Orland Reid tried their hardest to screw me a while back (unsuccessfully). They subsequently also tried to report my negative review to Google to have it deleted (also unsuccessfully). I still feel so angry about this and feel it's important to warn others about the conduct of this agency, even after some time has passed - here's my original review: AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL!!! These guys tried unsuccessfully to retain my deposit, blame damage on me that was not on any inventory report and charge me for "work" needed to rectify this fictitious damage using their own workmen, whose quotes for work were laughably extortionate (so no tender process/transparency and taking a cut, no doubt). I had to go through 3 months of tenancy deposit scheme adjudication to get my money back. Their staff and, importantly their owner/partner, deliberately misled me repeatedly and withheld information throughout the whole process, making it as difficult and long winded as possible. The intention must have been that I'd just get too frustrated and give up? They were also paid by the landlord to act on their behalf but at the same time claim to be totally impartial (which is impossible).They are solely motivated by money - this scamming must be part of their business plan and I cannot imagine I am the only one who has had to go through this unnecessary, time consuming and upsetting process. If I could give them zero stars I would. if I could take them to court to reclaim money for the amount of my time they wasted, I would. It makes me so angry that "Estate Agents" like this can still exist. There are so many better, more trustworthy and honest agencies out there, there really is no need to put yourself through the nightmare of dealing with Orlando Reid. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! You have been warned!
20th May 2024 (13 days ago)Whilst not purchasing/selling a property via Connells, I wanted to write a review to give positive feedback for Humeirah, who showed such great persistence and attitude to ensure I was happy with my process and service from another Estate Agent. I did not go with Connells due to the experience I had with the agent who came to do a valuation, who has since left his role - if I met her before I went with my current agent, I would have very likely have gone ahead with Connells via Humeirah as her determination was second to none. Highly recommend if you want someone reliable!

1st May 2024 (5 weeks ago)The company have been amazing from start to finish. I had plenty of questions to ask, which Clare Selwood has ensured to find out answers to and get back to me in reasonable time frame. Everyone has been polite and easy to deal with making this process stress free!

24th Apr 2024 (6 weeks ago)There are many local estate agents to choose from but we decided to stick with JNP who we purchased our house through many years ago. What an outstanding job the whole team did for us. Not only the sale but when things got tricky holding a long chain together they were always there to support us. Nicky and Emily went over and above to get us all to the exchange point and were professional and determined throughout. We have come to learn selling your house is not just about finding a buyer but also about getting the sale over the line. We really appreciated the great team work at JNP to make this happen and we would not hesitate to highly recommend them .

18th Mar 2024 (11 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
5th Apr 2024 (8 weeks ago)An absolutely amazing team. We worked with both Mary-Joy & Tony and they assisted us in viewings and purchase of a property. They have been incredible and so friendly and so proactive - they chased up all the people that need chasing on our behalf which I just really appreciated so that I wasn't spending my free time trying to chase them instead. From when our offer was first accepted on the property to completion it was all within 5 months (which in the property business is a good turn around!) and Tony was so friendly and I felt comfortable telling him about everything including any hiccups. Rwhitley & Co already have a strong reputation as a good estate agent and it's because of employees like Tony & Mary-Joy that make up the backbone of this place. 100% highly recommend

Amazing service from beginning to end of the sales process. Their brochures are beautiful and show your house at its absolute the best. They really work to find the right buyer for your property. They give great feedback when people view your house and keep in touch brilliantly. If the price needs adjustment , they come to you with researched evidence. Plus they are so pleasant to deal with AND extremely fairly priced for the service they offer. Outstanding.
