11th Apr 2024 (5 weeks ago)Story time! We paid a reservation fee of £2,000 for a new build property at a really good price, a bit under the property price. After a few weeks, we had our buyer pull out but managed to find another buyer for our property within a week. Apparently, this was not what the developer had wanted and the estate agent sneakily relisted our property again. This company is full of lies and deception. Please save yourself from it! Finding someone in a week was apparently not enough and we were too slow. Turns out.. Another buyer managed to get the property that we wanted at a higher price - £25k more and we only found out after a week of no replies from this estate agency - we were not quick enough apparently. They offered us another property which was not what we wanted. Bearing in mind, we had reserved this property!!! We decided to fight for our reservation fee back as at no point in time did we ever pull out or wanted to back out. We emailed Acorn and they said they would ask the developer for us. A week of emailing from our solicitor to the developer, it turns out the developer never had our £2k deposit and it was in fact always with the estate agent. GET THIS! Acorn was in fact CC’ed in all those emails. Silence from Acorn but they guiltily gave back our reservation fee back. How embarrassing! There were so many red flags, and we literally went through so much to try and exchange. We kept them in the loop but they were very slow in their replies and it seemed like they were sabotaging us. They wanted a fatter share of the sale! They kept on lying to us and the dates that they gave were all untruthful, they kept stating that we were too slow and that the house was already done but this was a lie. We visited the development many times to see and it did not add up. I hope no one ever goes through the experience I went through! AVOID!!! P.s we’ve driven past the development and in hindsight we are so glad that we did not buy the house. The developer messed up on many things.

My partner and I started our sales journey for our flat using another agent. We decided to swap to Acorn Catford and the flat was sold very quickly. A massive thank you to everyone at Acorn Catford we appreciate your hard work.
5th Apr 2024 (6 weeks ago)Staff that work at the Chelsea Bridge Wharf (Queenstown Road) are absolutely horrendous. Anytime a tenant would need help, you had to call and email them numerous times to get anything moving, as if it wasn’t their job. Property manager Venice is the rudest and the most useless person I have ever had to deal with. Absolutely do not recommend this agency and this particular branch, there are so many more better and ACTUALLY helpful agencies, where staff are able and capable to actually HELP the tenants, because remember- renting is not just paying the rent and collecting the keys, as things break, situations happen, neighbours exist - and you need a helpful and educated agency to deal with that if you need help

Our sale was managed by Amir and Ross and they were both incredibly communicative and responsive, always a pleasure to talk to and I just felt really safe with them. Would definitely recommend them and will use them again in the future.

She has been great with the tenants and is incredibly helpful and hard working. She is a massive asset to Bairstow Eves. I'm not sure why UCLan Animation has come up but this is my work sign in and I'm not sure how to get out of it!! I live in Lancashire and so it was hard for me to visit but I felt safe in Amy's capable hands. She is a good communicator.

She managed to find what I was looking for in a short time (top floor flats, reasonable service charge and long lease) and really went the extra mile with making the most of our time with multiple viewings with a smile:) Even though my circumstances changed and I no longer need to view flats, I highly recommend Samantha as an agent to find your dream property!- 20th Apr 2024 (29 days ago)Damian was an absolute standout during my experience with your agency. They also were extremely helpful when it came to answering questions from the solicitors. Vanessa from the resales team went above and beyond for us and helped guide us through the process. When we were in our property we never had any issues with moat, always very fair and helpful. So pleased to have bought our first home through moat, we will always be grateful for the whole experience of shared ownership
29th Apr 2024 (20 days ago)We recently sold our property with Parkers and we cannot recommend them enough. All their staff go above and beyond to help with any questions or concerns. Gavin offered us very good advice at the time of valuation and how to approach a challenging market. His professionalism and knowledge of the local market were incredible and we felt at complete ease going with Parkers because of it. Once the house was on the market we had the pleasure of dealing with Georgi and Jordan. The early viewings and feedback were handled fantastically by Georgi with great communication and honest feedback. The past few months most my dealings have been with Jordan who has gone so far above and beyond for us that we cannot thank him enough. We had some difficulties with an onward purchase and were very stressed at the time. Jordan went out of his way to help us through this, even messaging us well out of his hours of operation with updates and advice. An incredibly considerate and lovely person, he is an asset to parkers. Having dealt with a number of other agents in Norfolk (where we are moving too) it was so stark to me how much Parkers stands head and shoulders above anyone else. 18th Mar 2024 (9 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Really proactive, communication was excellent with a weekly update call as well as an WhatsApp chat and proved they were driven to not only sell my property but also to get the right price. I would definitely recommend Oaks Estate Agent.

24th Apr 2024 (25 days ago)Great company Chris Perkins the boss/owner was brilliant from start to finish of the sale of my parents house was on the case all the time with the solicitors and even when the house was sold Chris the boss rang me and my parents to make sure we were ok and settled in ok also gave realistic price of the house not a unrealistic price just to get it on there books would definitely use them again and would highly recommend Robinson and Jackson And Chris Perkins the owner/ boss
