26th Apr 2024 (12 days ago)I have recently sold my flat through Foxtons Auctions and the whole process has been streamlined and professional. The were transparent and open about discussions and feedback from the outset. I received a telephone call almost daily giving me an update on the viewings of the previous day and the feedback provided by interested parties. The online platform is easy to use and you can keep up to date with feedback and potential viewings. The service I received was not corporate in fashion; it felt bespoke, and I often joked with the team that it very much felt the whole of Foxtons was working solely for my flat. I thank the whole team, but a special thank you to Anne, Antony, Bronwyn, Kieran and Mohsen. There are many estate agents across the Marylebone and Mayfair area; if it is a personal and bespoke service you require, then I strongly recommend Foxtons.- 9th Jan 2024 (17 weeks ago)Rosie, Olivia and Sian were all extremely helpful and responsive while helping me secure my property. 6th Apr 2024 (5 weeks ago)Our experience with Mov8 was easy they kept us informed with viewing and communication was prompt. The only thing was their offices are in Edinburgh and Glasgow and we are in Carnoustie which was a little inconvenient if we needed to go to their office to sign things
14th Mar 2024 (8 weeks ago)Lack of communication and not pro-active as I had to instigate them doing anything. Pricing is terrible everything is an extra add on with vat on everything. Too expensive for lack of contact and or proactivity.

2nd Apr 2024 (5 weeks ago)Worst rental experience of my entire life. Staff here need training on how to interact with an ever-changing world and multicultural population. It lasted less than 7months and I will never recommend them to anyone.

6th Feb 2023 (1 year ago)If it was possible, I'd have given Abbey Forth zero stars. Here's my experience with them: The place I rented from Abbey Forth had not been cleaned when I moved in. It was in a disgusting state with several broken fixtures. I took many photos and informed them that, because I was having to clean my new flat, I wouldn't be paying for the place to be professionally cleaned when I moved out. Throughout my year at the property, they were unprofessional and unhelpful when other problems arose: trying to charge me for boiler repairs (a boiler which was leaking on day 1), failing to resolve a drainage issue outside the kitchen door and, worst of all, falling to resolve an infestation of slugs in the kitchen - an obvious health hazard. When I moved out, they unsurprisingly tried to deduct £190 from my deposit for cleaning. I successfully disputed this charge with the deposit scheme, using the pictures and emails I'd sent them over the length of the tenancy. The deposit scheme found that, as the property was not cleaned to a good condition for the start of the tenancy, that I should only having to pay £60 In summary: Abbey Forth is the worst estate agent I've ever used. Rude staff and a general ethos of trying to squeeze money out of tenants for as little effort as possible. Only sign up with them if you are desperate and have no other options. If this is the case, then please make sure you document everything for inevitable struggle to get your deposit back

6th Feb 2024 (13 weeks ago)Cannot recommend Simple Approach highly enough. I used them to sell a flat and to find a tenant for my rental property. The service was exceptional, especially the rental team. I had been using another agent for rental but getting nowhere. Switching to Simple Approach was like chalk and cheese between services offered, in particular, ease of contact out of normal office hours and platforms used to advertise. After months with the other agent, the S.A team found me the perfect tenants within a couple of weeks. Delighted!

18th Mar 2024 (7 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
