26th Apr 2024 (23 days ago)We had to leave our Hampshire home at short notice following a disastrous oil leak. Mid-November is not a great time to search for rental properties, with landlords pulling out of the market, leading to demand increasing for the few remaining. Also we hoped to move back into our house once rectification works were completed and so didn’t want to commit to an 18 month lease, with 12 month break clause, which is standard. We needed something more flexible. Thanks to Sheila O’Brien’s helpful and imaginative approach she persuaded a landlord who had decided to sell up, but was neither renting, nor selling, that he should rent to us until the sales market improved. In return we would facilitate viewings. The result has benefitted both sides - we got our short term home; the landlord got rent and eventually a sale as the Spring market warmed up. Everyone was happy. Sheila is a class act!

He kept us updated throughout the process and always answered emails or picked up the phone which goes such a long way! Will definitely be using Curchods and Al for our future property needs due to his excellent service. Would highly recommend!

Always pleasant to deal with, viewings were arranged efficiently and feedback promptly given. Friendly service and a sale achieved!

27th Apr 2024 (22 days ago)We bought a house with Hamptons Estate and Letting at Kingston. Paul M. was leading the deal and he went way beyond what one could expect. The deal was incredibly complicated and involved two sellers that didn't want to work together. If it wasn't for Paul would probably still be in process of purchase! I admire how he was constantly pushing different parties and communicating effectively so that we can progress. Thank you very much Paul and the team!

20th Apr 2024 (29 days ago)Had a property viewing booked well in advance for today at 2.30 with Hulya Baillie. I was running 5 minutes late and informed the agency. They said it was fine and she will wait. Arrived there and waited 25 minutes, no one showed up. Called the office and they just kept saying to wait and that they couldn't get through to the team who does the viewings. No one ever showed. Wasted my time completely and I travelled half an hour to get here and paid a bus journey. I am a hard working teacher who doesn't get free time easily so this was very frustrating. Will not be dealing with this unprofessional agency again.

He had the house on the market before the others had even sent a photographer round , by the time they had, laurels had sold the property ( 8 days ) for the price we wanted. Again through the whole process Fraser kept us informed and nothing was to much trouble for him, I think Laurels are lucky to have him . And would highly recommend laurels ????????????????????
3rd Mar 2024 (11 weeks ago)Im shocked at the level of lack professionalism disreguard of potential tennents aswell of lack of care. I arranged a viewing for saturday. Its a good job i called up to confirm and check the address. Turns out my viewing had been cancelled as property was gone. No one called me to update me. I would of been standing out side waiting in the rain and no one would of been coming. To add insult to the matter, when asked why i wasnt informed i was told there was 40-50 people viewing, they didnt have time to call so many people. The lack of care and whatever attidtude is some what concerning. So basicaly we dont care about letting you know you been cancelled. Leads me to wounder if they are the same with tennants. If something needs replacing or fixing will they even respond?
18th Mar 2024 (9 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

David confirmed the viewing, but Alessando also offered to show me another property on the same day without coordinating with David. This lack of communication led to a chaotic situation when we arrived, with the office scrambling to accommodate us. The receptionist, without even asking for our names or how we were doing, blamed me for the booking mix-up. The "larger than usual" garden turned out to be just a patio, which we pointed out. Instead of addressing our concerns, she became visibly angry, slammed the brochure on the table, rolled her eyes, and criticized us for being honest. She then abruptly told us to view the flat on our own. We politely informed her that we were leaving and that her behaviour was extremely unprofessional.
