They were all extremely helpful throughout the process from booking my initial appointment to view the property to chasing solicitors on both sides to keep me updated and overall giving me the information I needed. Would recommend them to anyone looking to buy their home and will definitely use them in the future if I look to buy or sell.
29th May 2026 (16 days ago)I would not recommend using Charlesworth Estates to manage the sale or purchase of your home. While they are quick to get you on the books, their sales progression and chain management are completely lacking. We experienced endless delays with our property transaction, largely because the team failed to stay on top of the paperwork or properly communicate between the parties involved. Trying to get a straight answer or any sense of urgency from the office was impossible. An estate agent should be working to make the moving process smoother, but dealing with this branch felt like an uphill battle from start to finish. Take your business to an agent that actually drives the sale forward.

The communication throughout was also good. I wouldn't have any hesitation in using them again in the future or recommending to friends.

1st Jun 2026 (13 days ago)??????Formerly Greenwood James and now under the Harrisons banner, the name may not be the same but the service certainly is.., and this is the reason we have been putting the new acquisitions for the portfolio with them for a few years now...?????????????????? Absolutely no regrets as the team are proactive, fair, and friendly too?? We are at ease when it comes to the portfolio they manage being managed properly... So a BiG Thank-You to Zoe Jackson (There are Two Zoe's) as she is our direct line and property manager, however the full team really are friendly and knowledgeable, so great to deal with..??????
18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

I had communication issues and delays with my own solicitors, other solicitors and other estate agents but never with Colleen at Eric Clarke. She was proactive, helpful and went above and beyond to keep me in the loop and give other members of the chain a nudge when needed. Would absolutely recommend to others!
