In 2025, we purchased our home through them and were very impressed with the experience. Ian Cattle managed the sale and was thoroughly professional and knowledgeable. He struck the perfect balance between presenting the house in a positive light while remaining honest and transparent. Because of that experience, we chose Carter Jonas to sell our own home, and Ian was brilliant. He took the time to really understand the property and the local area, and his proactive approach meant we secured a buyer quickly and smoothly. 5th Mar 2026 (27 days ago)So disappointed in this company! Not following legal guidelines, a lady is selling her house through this company and this lady is buying my mums through this same company! My mums sale is taking months due to the purposeful delays of the sale of her house so delaying ours! This is costing us more money I want to remove mums house to another estate agent! Now told we can’t speak to the estate agent! Yet again another illegal move I will be taking further action I want mums house back
15th Mar 2026 (17 days ago)Can't recommend enough! We sold our house with William H Brown at the start of 2026. It was exaclty four weeks from their initial viewing to completion, which is so impressive (we were very lucky with certain things but they certainly didn't waste any time). Every little bit of progress, they would let us know. They did all of the fiddly bits like sorting all of the documents we need and they had a good relationship with our solicitors, as well as our buyer. Literally so easy for us. Sam was super helpful and you can tell they all really cared about finding the best buyer for us. So grateful, thank you!!

They’ve made it so simple and reassuring for us as first time buyers. Sarah and Kirsty were there every step of the way, answered questions to anything we asked, guided us when we needed help and did everything to make us happy. 18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

McArthur is a local agent, and I believe in using local businesses, so I contacted them regarding selling the property. A decision I was happy with. No silly staggered fees or additional costs depending on how long on the market. A straight forward set fee plus VAT, perfect! From the initial visit to completion they have been great and the house went under offer in less than a fortnight. couple of communication hiccups early doors hut nothing major. Definitely recommend using.

From the very start, Becky has been particularly brilliant, she has been super helpful, proactive, and always quick to respond and give me a call for any updates. The team guided me through the process, and once everything was decorated and ready to be on the market, a tenant was found within just one day of going live! I have been really pleased with the service so far and would highly recommend!
