EweMove is owned and run by Mark Holmes and Robert Bassett. We have over 30 years combined Estate Agency experience, and have worked with each other since 2008 - in that time becoming friends, as well as colleagues. Both of us held senior management positions at a local independent Estate Agents prior to becoming directors in 2011 for the biggest Estate Agent in the UK where we successfully ran 30 offices between us. We have many industry accreditation's including NVQs, and City and Guild qualifications, as well as Mark being a member of the National Association of Estate Agents.
We opened up EweMove in Basingstoke, as we both wanted to get back involved with the front line of Estate Agency, and with our experience and knowledge, alongside the fantastic marketing tools EweMove have at their disposal, our aim is to become Basingstoke's number one most recommended Estate Agent - providing an exceptional and highly personal customer journey from valuation through to completion.
We are both married with children, live locally and have a passion for charity work, with most recently Mark last year climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for Naomi House Children's Hospice, a charity that Ewemove Basingstoke are proud to continue to support.
We aim to do things in a completely different way, and some of these things include:
A full personal service, where we never close! We have an administration team on hand 24/7 ensuring buyers can always book viewings and get through to someone at the time that suits them.
We offer the ability for clients to book viewings through our website.
We have live web-chat - meaning someone is always here to help.
We advertise on all of the main property internet portals, plus many more.
All of our properties have professional photography, as well as premium listings on Zoopla and Rightmove as standard and we make no charge for this.
We don’t tie any of our vendors into long contracts - with us you are free to walk away at any time, with nothing to pay.
All of your dealings with EweMove will be through Robert or Mark who own the business - we do all of the viewings, all of the offer negotiation and all of the sales progression - meaning you have the most experienced people dealing with your sale. You will have our contact details and mobile phone number and be able to speak to us whenever you like.
We passionately believe in first class customer service and EweMove is rated by Trust Pilot as the best in the UK.
Finally, we are actively looking for clients and houses to sell and we would love to have the opportunity to come and meet with you and introduce ourselves in more detail, and demonstrate how we are different from the other estate agents.

I recently have had the pleasure of having Grant at EweMove sell my house. From start to finish he has been super informative, professional, contactable and really helpful. When he valued my property he explained why it was priced as it was, he advised me on how to maximise the appeal for sale and that included telling me not to spend money on painting, new kitchen cupboards etc, as it wouldnt make much difference but would cost me more than I could recoup in sale price. Grant has also been extremely helpful with the purchase of my new property even though it wasnt via him, rather a different EweMove branch. I felt I could ask him questions that I wasnt getting answered elsewhere, which ultimately made the whole process a bit less stressful! Mark was brilliant - Non patronising or smarmy, was honest with what he thought out house could sell for and also gave us local market information to back up his opinion. Spoke to both my Husband and I equally (unlike other local patronising Agents who were pretty sexist) and also gave us genuine advice as to what we needed to change to maximise the attractiveness of our property.
The photos and videos were excellent quality - Throughout the entire process Mark did what he said he would - no hidden costs, no lies, complete honesty. The result? Our house sold within 2 weeks of being on the market and we didn't even need an open house. Our buyer is absolutely lovely (not that it really matters, but even so - it's nice to think the birds will still be fed and the hedgehogs will still have a home!) and we're so happy with how Mark supported us throughout the entire process.
Seriously don't go anywhere else - EweMove may not be the cheapest out there but the quality of photos, videos and their people is excellent and they made a very stressful experience as pleasant as possible.

Mark took time out to show us around our now new home on a bank holiday weekend in May.
After we made the decision to buy he and his team facilitated several visits with builders and designers and when on the moving day stress levels escalated because two external doors didn't have keys he came around to try and assist and when no obvious solution was to hand offered to reimburse the cost of a locksmith himself.

We honestly cannot fault the service from EweMove Basingstoke, and Mark Holmes who looked after us from the minute the viewing was booked, until move date and beyond. Having booked an appt via the 24hr online chat at 6.30pm Saturday(To my surprise, a real person responding, taking basic info to pass on) I had a courtesy call within 10 mins from Mark, who had read the transcript of the chat, and rang to introduce himself, and tweak the time to suit us better. The valuation process a couple of days later, was simple, set expectations, and gave tips on how to present our 'house' not 'home' for sale, by removing personal stuff so buyers could visualise it as their own. Mark handled everything, from arranging the photo, video and drone shoot 3 days later, to the 2 open days the following week. All we had to do was make the house look lovely, and go out and leave the hard work to him. A Whatsapp group was set up to keep us in the picture and for us to ask anything we wanted, literally whenever we wanted. There were 9 viewings, 4 offers and a very quick acceptance. Mark literally took over from that point. Throughout the process, he was always totally aware of what stage we were at, was constantly on the phone or messaging the Solicitors, other parties/solicitors involved in the chain, and able to keep us calm in the latter stages when there were the inevitable delays or hiccups with searches or other parties. Mark had always said that whatever time we needed to message him, if he could answer straight away, then he would, if not as soon as possible. We really didn't expect literally an 'all hours' service, but sometimes needed to message late evening ready for the next day if we were going to be working. Invariably, we got an answer straight away. There were delays right up to completion due to other parties in the chain, and exchange really was 11th hour, but again, Mark was 'on it', chasing everyone and keeping us in the picture. He really lived through every moment of this move with us, and we had quite a lot of banter & humour along the way to relieve the stress. We always felt like we were his No 1 priority & truly believe if it hadn't been for Marks efforts, chasing up the other parties, this move might never have come to fruition.
When comparing this moving experience with previous experiences with High Street or online agencies either as a buyer or seller, there really is no comparision.
I would 100% recommend Ewemove as a company - their ethic of looking at what service people actually need and delivering exactly that, rather than the traditional High Street 9-5 service which means they are not available when the normal working person wants them, is priceless. For anyone in the Basingstoke area, if you have Mark Holmes looking after you, you can have every confidence that you will be in very safe hands, knowing that he is keeping things moving in the right direction from day 1 until move date and beyond. Fantastic service. :-)

If I could give 10 stars, I am not sure if this would be enough, to describe how wonderful services Eve Move provided from the very beginning to the last moment of this transaction.
We are very happy in our new home, and we know that this has happened only becusae the best person (Mark) was helping us. We were very unlucky because we had the worst ever solicitors you can imagine, and this transaction was very difficult due to the lack of communication from them (our solicitors), but was successful at the end, only because Mark was helping us with chasing them, even if this was something outside of his responsibilty, he was helping like a friend rather than for business purposes only. We can't express how grateful we are, we had the best property Agent in the world! Very polite, proffessional and extremely helpful person. If we will buying/selling property in the future, as we don't know what future will bring to us, we will be definately contacting Mark's agency (asking for Mark :D), because the whole service and our cooperation was much more than we could expect and ask for.

From our initial consultation to the moving day, Brad has been amazing. Previously with other agents we have found that communication seems to be an issue. However Brad kept us informed every step of the way.
The advert, pictures and price Brad advised for the house, was spot on. He gave us guidance on how to get the best from the house prior to viewings. The virtual tour that was carried out of the house was amazing, I’ve seen a fair few and Brad’s video gave a really good insight into the feel of the house.

We've decided to sell our house in a difficult time last year, literally on the day when the first lockdown started due to a relocation. Robert, our agent was very helpful from the beginning and EweMove in general adopted quickly to all the changes due to the Covid19 restrictions.

We have had a very positive experience with Ewemove. From booking the initial consultation to taking photos everything was arranged smoothly to get our house on the market. Robert from Basingstoke Ewemove has realistically estimated the value of the property, which we feel has assisted in finding buyers very quickly. We had issues along the lines with the formal paperwork and arrangements for our house and the house that we wanted to buy, as well as some hick ups with the mortgage offer, and it has taken us around a year to finally complete due to these reasons and lockdowns. During this period Ewemove was nothing but supportive and assisted with advice. They recommended using their mortgage advisor, who was able to get us a great mortgage offer approved where we had been declined previously. They have assisted with getting things moving with solicitors and the house paperwork we were struggling to get from a third party company. Ewemove was managing the sale of the house we were buying as well, and we have had a great experience with Gavin from Hook branch, who was always proactive in making sure the chain remains, the customers are updated and the progress is made. Overall, we would highly recommend Ewemove.

Mark provided valuable market advice whilst also taking into consideration our views and objectives for our sale when setting the price and discussing and agreeing the marketing strategy.
The property advert was absolutely superb, the photos were true professional quality that really stood out and showed the house off perfectly for that all important first (web based!) impression.
Mark sold the house within days of it going on the market, the agreed strategy was perfect for our house in the market we were working within and resulted in multiple over asking price offers.
We then struggled to find a property to buy, meaning we eventually needed to re-advertise as our very patient buyers could not wait any longer for us to find. Once again, we agreed a strategy and price, remarketed the house and again sold it within one week.
When we eventually found a property to buy, our completion date fell after the Coronavirus lockdown had started. Mark supported us co-ordinating with our buyers and the various solicitors to help us all reach a decision on whether to proceed (and whether we could!). Once the decision had been made, Mark ensured we knew how the key handover would happen (given the circumstances!) and stayed in touch all through move day.
Mark was always contactable, always efficient, we really liked the modern comms methods such as WhatsApp, it meant it was never an issue to get hold of Mark or the team.
We would not hesitate to recommend Mark and the Ewemove team, and whilst we hope not to be moving again for a long time, if we did we would most certainly be looking EweMove up.

We recently sold our property in Tadley with James Cramp at EweMove and could not be happier with his level of service. From the start he was polite, professional and friendly. The pictures he took of the house were of an amazingly high standard. By far the biggest benefit of working with James was his availability. His being contactable evenings and weekends meant when an offer came in on a Saturday evening or Sunday morning it could be discussed and progressed immediately. Contrasting this with the frustration of waiting for other estate agents to open on a Monday morning was striking. We hit quite a few snags in our property sale and purchase, but he always went out of his way to solve any problems even though they arose elsewhere on the chain. Overall couldn't be happier and would highly recommend!

Grant at EweMove has been absolutely exceptional. Faultless. He has gone above and beyond anything I could possibly have hoped for. He gives estate agents a good name, and that's not easy. I interviewed 3 different agents and Grant was by far the most knowledgeable and experienced. He suggested several selling points about the house which I would never have thought of. He found a buyer within a week and when the sale seemed to drag on, it was he who identified the problem, chased up the solicitors on both sides and kept things moving. He could not have done more. I plan to sell my house in the next few months and I wouldn't consider using anyone else. And his fees are very competitive, too!

James was a breath of fresh air, we had been on the market a year with 2 other estate agents but had hardly any viewings plus terrible communication from the agents.
James come in and took great photos and gave us an honest valuation on the house backed up with facts.
James communicated with us regularly even if he didn't have much news.

I could not recommend Rob and Mark highly enough!! I am speaking from a position where two of my family members owned successful estate agent business in London.
After meeting the 5 top estate agents in Basingstoke and receiving valuations on our property, we were all set to go with that agent. However the next day we viewed a property with Ewe move and were so impressed on their professionalism, knowledge and non-pushy sales technique that we changed our mind and went with them.

Where do we start?! This company are absolutely incredible!
We were not expecting to sell, we were just interested in a valuation as we are due to get married in March. However Mark and his team made us feel so at ease and told us that we could easily do it. I was very anxious about this as it thought it was too much to take on. Not only did Mark answer his phone at stupid o clock at night/morning to me because I kept worrying about things he made the whole process so smooth.
We actually went on holiday, yes left the country and left our keys with this company/Mark because we trusted them that much.

Our recommendation for anyone looking for an estate agent who is honest, frank and provides real-time performance data from your Rightmove listing(!) then call Ewemove, Robert Bassatt!
We've had a few dealings, like most people will have, of the 'talk the talk' 'I can sell your house for this much …. blah blah blah' and then said agent will produce a couple of viewings to people obviously on the agents books but clearly not the right target audience.
This wasn't the case with Ewemove, from the initial meeting with Rob, I felt comfortable that he could help us with a fast and efficient process. After the lifestyle images were shot of the house, the house was online and on the market within 24hrs. The house listing looked professional, people at school drop off commented on the photos! A standard service Ewemove offer is to have the photos shot by a professional photographer which makes SUCH a difference, it makes your house stand apart from the rest of the market. Our house sold within the narrow price range Rob quoted on our first meeting. The process has taken 11 weeks, from that first meeting to now, and we move in 7 days!

Having recently lost my father and never before having bought or sold a property I needed all the help, understanding and above all patience that an estate agent could offer in the daunting task of selling the family home (and still my home) of 42 years. I contacted EweMove on the advice of a friend and Mark arrived breezily, explained everything is simple terms, bereft of legalese, with no small amount of compassion for my situation and set about a plan of action to sell the house that, importantly, was best for me – to sell the house in an Open Day! To take away the pain, I would not even need to be there! I took myself off to Spain for two weeks while Mark arranged everything. On one Saturday, during a two-hour period, I had 18 potential buyers pass through the house in a two-hour period, whilst I was lying on a sun-drenched Spanish beach! From the viewings the best offer was above my asking price. I agreed on that price for the sale even before arriving back from holiday. Having recently lost our parents we had run out of energy during the arduous task of sorting and selling our family home, of 40 years.
After meeting with three other estate agents and being told all the lifeless and bland legal information, about selling houses. Robert arrived, like an energetic, breath of fresh air, just what we needed, to get us other the last painful hurdle.
Robert gave an evidence based evaluation, where the previous agents had appeared to pluck a figure out of thin air. Even made the legal stuff sound more interesting. He talked us through the process and was able to reassure our doubt, discussed our options and listened to the type of buyers we wanted.
Robert filled up our open day within days. We sold for the full asking price to the second couple that arrived that day. We were lucky enough for that buyer to be in rented, so completed and exchanged with 8 weeks, virtually hassle free. Which meant allowing our family home to go a slightly, less painful.
We only ever dealt with Robert, who was supportive and helpful, evenings, weekends, throughout the entire process, nothing was ever too much effort.
We have been so impressed with their company we recommended them to other friends, for who are now in the process of completing/exchanging.

Smooth and easy. We thought about going through an online agent - they're cheap, etc - but you do get what you pay for and the reviews were very discouraging.
I invited three estate agents to price up the house and I chose Mark at Ewemove for his knowledge and honesty. Our house went on the market on the Friday, first viewing on the Wednesday and sold to them on the following Friday - all done within a week!
The marketing and photos were superb, we were able to comment and adjust to our satisfaction. The communication has been excellent, at no point did we feel out of touch and our questions were always answered quickly.
We have been lucky as it's been a very small chain but even so Mark had to communicate with the other estate agent we were buying through and talk with both sets of solicitors. Selling a house isn't a straightforward business and if you're not someone who does it regularly then Ewemove makes the process smooth and trouble free.
I cannot praise them highly enough for the professional service and support we have had from beginning to end.

Having recently been in a position to sell 2 properties and buying another we have had a lot of exposure to local agents. Our experiences with some of the “larger” agencies have been very disappointing and expensive. Stark contrast to Ewemove.
We found the Ewemove agents to be very approachable in all our dealings with them and quick to address any issues, missed calls etc. They clearly work very hard at ensuring their customers are kept well informed in a professional yet personal and discrete manner.

They laid to rest traditional stereotypes I'd held about estate agents! Ipsos MORI say that Estate Agents are the 4th least trusted profession. If their profession was populated by people like Mark from Ewemove in Basingstoke, the reverse would be true. I trusted Mark and he delivered on that trust.
The journey from initially marketing our old home to exchanging contracts was not the smoothest. Selling a house is rarely straightforward and we experienced more than our fair share of bumps along the way. Each time we hit a bump, Mark was there immediately, providing counsel on what our options were, which helped us to manage our own emotions, which helped us to make better decisions; in turn enabling us to achieve both our financial goals, whilst keeping the purchase of our next home on track.
It’s my belief that in business when you have to refer to a contract, there has been a breakdown as one of the two parties hasn't done what they said they would. EweMove’s Happy Sale Guarantee was appealing at the start of our relationship and then quickly forgotten about because they delivered on their claims and then some. It was especially helpful that I could talk out of office hours, as there are often big chunks of the working day when I am not able to speak on the telephone, so that really helped to reduce the pressure of time for me.
I estimate that we received an offer from every other person who EweMove arranged to view the house. Several of those offers were at the asking price or above. In the end we sold at the asking price which was more than similar properties had sold for, in a market that has at best, plateaued.
Having just signed off on payment of their fee and based on our experience, I believe that every penny of it has been earned.
I really valued having Mark from EweMove as our agent and have already recommended him to other people.

Don’t know where to start without this turning in to a novel! We had a the toughest of rides with ruthless buyers but Mark and the boys always had our back. Nothing was ever too much. even when Mark was on holiday and I was having a nervous breakdown on the phone! We got their eventually. They were honest and genuine and were on the ball at every turn. From the initial viewing, where he had in-depth knowledge on the property he was assisting to sell, right up to completion, James has gone the extra mile to ensure we had as little stress as possible in what is usually a very stressful part of life, house moving! Robert and his team are extremely friendly and helpful. They go the extra mile to help you. As first time buyers we weren’t clued up on everything that happens and what we had to do but Robert supported us as much as he could. They took the time to get to know us as a couple and what we were looking for. They are very knowledgeable of their properties and find out answers you may have very promptly. Their communication is fabulous - we would have a weekly chat just to discuss how things were progressing. No question was too much or made to feel too silly. A fabulous experience which was made as seamless as possible compared with experiences with other estate agents. Sold our property really quickly !!! they were just really friendly and honest without all the sales pitch rubbish! they told us what they honestly thought and how to best sell our house from a visual point of view.
They were good with photos too, as when viewed other agents sites the photos were shocking ! We have now also bought using Ewe move, the agent said we must see a house and we weren't sure and we're now buying it and I am a really sceptical person so says how much trust and how impressed we have been with these guys.

We contacted Ewemove in the first instance for them to help us find a new tenant for our property in Basingstoke.The response from Robert at Ewemove was immediate.Unfortunately we decided subsequently to sell the property and had to let Ewemove and their efforts down.That was not a problem as their spontaneity was able to respond by us allowing them to put our property on the market.They prepared an online brochure which was very impressive,informative and gave a very detailed and forward looking description and potential for the property.Within a short time they were able to set up a viewing day when they were able to set up a large number of viewing and from that we received 3 immediate offers.Robert talked us through these offers and we have just completed quickly on the one that we mutually agreed on.
There was no hassle and Robert was there for us when we needed him but he was not constantly calling us,
but if we had a query or anything the response from him was immediate.
I could not rate Robert or EWEmove more highly than a 5 out of 5.

Having given my Mothers house to 3 Estate Agents last August, it was still up for sale in March. I called Gavin at EweMove and he set about marketing it. I had more viewings through Gavin than all the 3 other Agents combined, which resulted in a subsequent sale. He could be contacted virtually anytime, he was always extremely helpful and always kept you updated. I would recommend Gavin highly if you want to sell your property.

The service provided by Gavin at Ewemove has been excellent all the way through the process. It was a slow start from the original valuation and discussions as we took quite a while to take the plunge and put our house on the market, but Gavin was always available to chat and use as a sounding board on the state of the market and how we should approach the sale.
Advice on price point was always balanced and not just geared towards him getting a quick sale and generally his knowledge of the dynamics of the local housing market was extremely useful.
As it turns out, even though we sold STC within 5 weeks of going on the market we have been unable to find a suitable property to buy and subsequently our buyers have gone elsewhere.
We have now decided to stay where we are for the time being, but will be engaging Gavin and Ewemove once we decide to go again!
