Avoid at all costs. Rented us a propeety with a broken boiler then failed to resolve for 3 months during the winter with a newborn in the house. Then had an illegal installation of a boiler by an unqualified person and denied any liability when i queried them on it. Then failed to carry out any pre tenancy works. When we pushed back they ignored all claims of liability and the landlord had to step in to clear up the mess. Acted without morals or professionalism throughout. Never encountered such a poor operation. Do not rent via this business.

Ian Barrett, Chestertons, Kensington handled the sale of our former BTL mansion flat in Kensington. Was not an easy sale with the former agent having over-priced the property, lease defects, a very picky buyer and an aggressive buyer’s solicitor. Ian took charge and got very deeply and personally involved in the transaction. Many others would have given up but Ian persevered, resurrected the deal after it had fallen through at one stage and brought it to a successful conclusion. It was all far from easy but he managed to get the deal done. We are very grateful and have no hesitation in recommending Ian.

Did a viewing with Irina Oblevica, who was very professional and knowledgeable about the property she showed me. I found the whole process very smooth and easy. Would definitely recommend Chestertons and Irina more so :)

After we offered on a flat and the landlord accapted, we paid the holding deposit. After paying the holding deposit, they went on and proceed with the other viewings and then let someone else do an offer while seeing our offer!
They took holding deposit from us and still didn’t hold the flat for us.
Totally unprofessional.

After 3 months of absolutely nothing from purplebricks, we moved to Chesterton's where we had an offer in under a week and accepted within another 2. They were proactive and very supportive throughout the sale process.

Absolutely appalling agency to deal with. A pure lack of transparency and a deviation from the terms and conditions associated with the holding deposit process. All my attempts to seek clarification or resolution have been met with silence from agency. Then at the end they tell me that they won’t return my holding deposit because I failed referencing, although they called me stating that the landlord rejected the proposal.
I have escalated this to the PRS and will keep escalating and talking against this untrustworthy agency.
Be careful of dealing with them!

I was incredibly disappointed = incredibly poor (and at times, it seemed, intentionally misleading) communication.
Also, once the offer was accepted, they did a terrible job of following the process and making sure the buyer was on track, which caused significant delays and me almost losing my onwards sale.
Oftentimes rude as well.
