23rd Aug 2024 (16 days ago)Leaders were fantastic! Completing both the sale of our old property and purchase of our new one. After a painful experience with the purchase of our first house we were anxious to move. Claire, Sue and Damon made the whole process as stress free as possible. Claire and Damon secured our dream house and sold our old one all within a few weeks. Constantly keeping us up to date with both houses and answering any questions we had throughout. Once everything was agreed Sue was brought in to ensure everything moved along smoothly which really helped make the move as stress free as possible. Even after the move they were more than happy to take in a parcel that had been accidentally sent to our old address. Which shows how happy they are to go above and beyond.

13th Aug 2024 (26 days ago)***AVOID Cowboy Estate Agents, AVOID*** The agent Jamie came around 10 mins late (no excuse for being late!), and then told us the fees are fixed at 1%, which we find hard to believe, and was a blantant lie. Then after an instruction, didn’t bother to follow up with any communication. If you didn’t want the business, because it’s small fish compared to luxury properties you are selling in Harborne, then just say that and not mess us around. Also like to constantly harass you with unsolicited phone calls when you are not interest, so be warned if they get your phone number. Wouldn’t recommend anyone to go with these dishonest wheeler dealer salesmen.

Throughout the process was really efficient liaising between myself and the seller. Liz kept everything moving quickly despite being in a very long chain. Would definitely buy and sell future properties through Oulsnam.

15th Aug 2024 (24 days ago)Arden have been great during the process of selling our old property and buying a new one! Customer service was brilliant from the start. Quick turn around on getting us booked in and having photos taken to getting the property online! Property was sold quickly as well. Great communication throughout the rest of the process with regular updates provided. A special mention to Lesley from the Barnt Green office who was our contact throughout the process. She was always polite and friendly on calls as was easy to get hold of!
12th Aug 2024 (27 days ago)BE CAREFULL WHEN BUYING PROPERTY FROM THIS ESTATE AGENT AS THEY SELL JOINTLY OWNED PROPERTIES BUT DONT ADVERTISE THE FACT. EVEN AFTER BEING INFORMED THAT PROPERTIES ARE INFACT OWNED BY OTHER MEMBERS OF THE FAMILY, DUE DILIGENCE NOT LOOKED AT OR OTHER OWNERS PROOF, THEY WILL JUST LEAVE IT TO THE SOLICITORS TO SORT.

13th Aug 2024 (26 days ago)I’d originally only left a one star rating here and wasn’t going to air my grievances in public. Though, since I’ve now been accused of being a ‘troll’ by the business owner I don’t have any more reservations. Dealing with Tom at Kingsman was stressful and confusing at times. With all my experience of buying and selling I still can’t quite understand the way in which he operates. After entering into renegotiations I never understood why Tom would re-advertise the house we’re buying without telling us. After Tom then received other rival offers on the house, I don’t understand why he would disclose someone else’s offer to us; egging us on to try and beat it. After we trumped the rival offer by thousands, I wouldn’t expect to be told to jog on. I do wonder what, if anything, he has advised his client for them to reject this free money. We’ve had a few messages from Tom updating us on some work the vendor is doing to the house, all followed by a ‘but you’re not buying it anyway.’ Why even bother? Now we’re a couple thousand pounds down because this vendor has been poorly advised, all while the business owner is calling my review ‘fake’. Why not reach out to ask why we’re so annoyed with your staff?
18th Mar 2024 (25 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. 27th Aug 2024 (12 days ago)We have been renting with back and gold for a year and it was a nightmare we have mould in all the rooms which at the viewing they told me it would get done which I didn’t and then we were told it’s a old house so we are going to get cracks and mould everywhere. I made several complaints and all the time nothing was done, until we had previous tent telling us they had the same issues with the land lord and the estate agent . I feel like they didn’t care and the worse thing was when we got racially remarks from the estate agent . I have 3 kids and now they suffer from asthma and back cough . We are now in the process of taking it further. It’s a shame renting is hard and to get got landlord and estate agents who are not willing to help it’s even hard everyone is in it for the money.
