6th Apr 2024 (22 weeks ago)Our experience with Mov8 was easy they kept us informed with viewing and communication was prompt. The only thing was their offices are in Edinburgh and Glasgow and we are in Carnoustie which was a little inconvenient if we needed to go to their office to sign things

5th May 2024 (18 weeks ago)I have rented a house via Slater Hogg & Howison for close to 6 years now. Over this time there's been certain repairs needing attention ie damp and black mould. I have kept this house in great condition but the issues date back before I moved in. On countless occasions, mainly from 2021-2024 I have been trying to get these fixed with no joy. I've made so many complaints and have complained to the Property Ombudsman. I am heavily pregnant with my first baby due in June and Slater Hogg & Howison have been aware of this since at least the start of the year, I was trying to get them to fix the issues before June when baby is due as stated in emails to them. My husband contacted Slater Hogg to get an update on the repairs on 29th April, they said the landlord 'was trying to get to the root of the problem with the damp and black mould'. I started Maternity leave on 30th April and that same day Sheriffs Officers came to my door to issue an evicition notice under the grounds the landlord 'intends' to sell in July!! No warning inadvance at all and such a brutal way to treat us, we've always paid rent on time, kept house amazing. We can see an email attached to the evicition notice dated 11th April from Shona McCulloch of the Slater Hogg & Howison Dennistoun branch to say she 'would be delighted' to help sell the property when the landlord is ready. My baby is due in June and Slater Hogg & Howison are delighted to make a newborn baby homeless. This is a revenge evicition because I've been asking to get all the repairs done and i have all the years of proof. It's so unbelievably stressful to be going through this. I do not recommend Slater Hogg & Howison because they are extremely cruel.- 30th Aug 2024 (9 days ago)Countrywide Paisley offered a highly competitive quote and went the extra mile by conducting a property visit and presenting their comprehensive service offerings. Their guidance and support throughout the tenant acquisition process were invaluable, ensuring a seamless transition. I'm extremely satisfied with their service and anticipate a positive and ongoing partnership. Thank you Kellie, Jamie and Yasmin.
3rd Aug 2024 (5 weeks ago)The sale of my property - in an affluent, much-sought-after neighbourhood in Glasgow’s West End - turned out to be far more protracted than it should have been. This was almost entirely a result of the agent’s insistence on focusing on what turned out to be a phantom buyer he had encountered in the street rather than go through the established channels of putting the property on the market with a view to attracting interested - and genuine - bidders. The result was that a property which I had been told would be sold within 10 days of being put up for sale will have stood unoccupied for four-and-a-half months between being vacated by a previous tenant and a new owner (not the bidder initially wooed by the agent) moving in. This long interregnum has cost me as a selling owner thousands of pounds in council tax, additional factor’s cost liabilities, and lawyer’s costs for a deal that was ultimately not concluded. In conclusion, I would say that this is an episode where Clyde Property’s selling agents should urgently review their procedures and resolve to sticking to established rules, specifically avoiding off-the-books deals that involve avoiding putting properties on the market in the established manner. In this case, the attractions to the agent in doing so were obvious; the prospect of earning commission money for doing less work. But the result was a non-sale that ended up wasting time and burdening a client with significant additional costs - and leaving Clyde Property with a dissatisfied customer. All in all, a less than satisfactory outcome.

30th May 2024 (14 weeks ago)The team at Hames Estates is very professional, and also very approachable. They take a personal interest to ensure they deliver an excellent service. Any questions are answered quickly and you never feel that you are a bother. We dealt mainly with Joe and Ellie, when selling our house and the whole process was painless. First meeting was with Joe McKenzie who is straightforward and honest. He takes the time to go through the process with you, including the very reasonable fees. Viewings are notified via text and email so easy to know who was coming and when. We were kept informed throughout and received regular feedback regarding viewings - the latter mainly by Ellie who is very friendly and helpful! Our house sold very quickly, and we have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Hames Estates to others. Thank you!!

If we have to rent again or buy tomorrow, they’ll still be top on the list. Patient, understanding, humane yet very professional. A big thanks to Laura Smith, Olivia Thompson and Gregor Cope - fantastic guys. Keep it up. God bless you guys.

5th Jul 2024 (9 weeks ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!
