24th Jan 2022 (2 years ago)After 4 years of no problems our landlord chose to switch to Darlows because they were offering “a better service for landlords”... not only did this turn out to be the exact opposite for our landlord but our family of 4 (2 adults + 2 children) had to suffer over and over before we eventually had enough and were forced to find another property to keep our family safe & warm. The staff were buck passers who never dealt with anything that involved effort, as a result our landlord paid thousands for a new boiler and repairs that were unnecessary and could have been avoided if action was taken as it should have been (boiler leaked for 3 days and brought a ceiling down - we could not stop the leak and no one knew where a stop tap was!!) this is just 1 example I can assure you there are many more just as bad, our landlord is taking further action and ultimately had to sell the property. We cannot emphasise enough that as a tenant or landlord you are taking a big risk by using Darlows! I am sure more will surface in time. You have been warned.

We were always kept informed of appointments, active in sending the feedback and offers through , and there was always good communication between all members of the staff and ourselves. The staff went above and beyond to make the selling process as smooth as possible for us as the clients. I highly recommend them.
10th Feb 2023 (1 year ago)We’ve let a number of our properties, both locally (and throughout south Wales) via Matthew and his team at First 4 Rentals, for many years, and constantly received a professional, capable and friendly service. In over 25 years of dealing with various agents throughout Wales, First 4 Rentals is the only one I’ve ever been impressed with enough to write a public review. Their level of service, attention to detail, prompt communication and helpfulness is something that sets them apart from lesser agents. Over the years, Matthew has helped sort out everything that a remote landlord will encounter, and all with satisfactory outcomes, for both us, and the tenants. (We were always relived to know we had found a letting agent who supported and facilitated our goal of being a decent and fair landlord, always ensuring all aspects of the letting process were compliant, safe and secure for both parties) Additionally, their level of personal attention is exemplary. By way of example; we requested a swift turnaround on a vacant property in Cardiff city centre at then end of last week - today at 8am a comprehensive video inspection report arrived in my inbox! Having engaged and supported us with both sales and lettings, Matthew consistently delivers a first class service, and I have no hesitation in recommending his services to anyone needing a trusted partner in what, for many of us, can be a challenging arena.

I dealt mainly with Chloe and she was brilliant at communicating throughout the whole process, always returning calls or emails promptly and giving regularupdates. She actually saved me a big delay, due to my surveyors, by noticing they hadn't been in touch with the vendor after they told we they would be. Overall I would highly recommend.

I must say that in addition to being a great professional that you can trust and contact at any time, she is a close, friendly person and if during the process you have questions or problems you can feel how she gets fully involved trying to find a solution. We contacted a few agents in the Newport, Bassaleg, Risca areas to try and arrange viewings but found it difficult as they 'only have a small number of viewings on the weekend' or 'don't do viewings after 5pm on a weekday', etc. Arranging a viewing with Sage was polite, friendly and easy to do around our schedules. The sale took it's time due to delays (on our behalf) but each contact with them was always understanding and professional. Would we recommend them? Yes, to both buying and selling

7th Sep 2024 (1 day ago)We have thoroughly enjoyed working with Ian, Kayleigh and Helen at Hoskins Johnson. Selling a house, your home, can feels trail but they took all that away from us and did an amazing job. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them, will use them in a heartbeat again.

After viewing several homes and being disgusted by the agents' incompetence and lack of knowledge about the properties being presented, we met Claire from Parkmans, who stood out for her competence and thorough knowledge of the properties being presented. She turned out to be an extremely helpful and polite person. We would recommend these agencies to anyone and thank you again Claire.

5th Sep 2024 (3 days ago)First some perspective. I hate buying or selling property in the UK. The conveyancing system is wilfully and perversely Byzantine. Add in a delinquent property with seemingly intractable problems, and I needed a stellar team at my side. And a stellar team is what I got with Number One Real Estate. I am reluctant to put the spotlight on anyone particular but a special shout-out must go to Gemma, who managed to get the sale over the line. She exemplifies the entire team at Number One: always responsive and superbly supportive throughout the entire process. I doubt any other estate agent would have shown the persistence, endurance and drive of Number One to get this particular deal done. And yes, the value for money they offer is unparalleled. Highly recommended.

Very bad experience initially started good until the figures came in, that was a shocker & way too low I did feel pressured & harassed by calls etc. Felt They wanted an instant descion & gave false information which I checked out with my solicitor, I did get a few apologies about the initial recommended value admitting it was low. What if I had agreed??. Avoid this company and their associates give them a wide berth.
31st Jul 2024 (6 weeks ago)Our overall experience with Bettermove is one of disappointment. They sold a model whereby they would market our property to their pool of investors. Essentially they put our house on Rightmove for a slightly higher price then they said they would pay us and left it there. I had to chase for updates and when they responded it was to say that their investors thought the price was an issue! So why didnt you speak to us about that and say what we thought to reducing. I dont actually think they've got investors, just people who want a cash purchase in certain areas. Fortunately we didn't pay Bettermove any money for their services and we ended the contract as soon as we could
15th Aug 2024 (24 days ago)Wayne was excellent though out. Very helpful, arranged second and third viewings with no fuss. Wayne was very knowledgeable about all properties he showed us and gave us honest thoughts about each one. The solicitors and mortgage advisor Wayne recommended we’re also very helpful and lead to a quick and stress free sale. Would definitely recommend Wayne as first time buyers he helped us every step of the way.
23rd Aug 2024 (16 days ago)I have contacted fine and country 4 times to try and arrange a viewing on a property that we are interested in in Wenalt road rhiwbina Cardiff and they don’t get back to you. The seller is no doubt paying a lot of money to sell the property and are getting a really poor service. How many other people have tried to view and the seller lost potential sales. Very poor service.

Darren was extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable at the viewing, which helped me decide straight away that I needed to make an offer on the property. After getting the keys today, I can say that I have had no issues with Hayley or Darren throughout the process. They have been nothing but helpful, from keeping in touch regularly, giving advice and even gifting me a welcome box. Completely wonderful! I will recommend to anyone to use Red Kite!????
