From our first property viewing with Siobhan, to now - 5 months into our tenancy, the care and professionalism we have experienced has been fantastic. Update 2024;- Siobhan has been incredibly supportive during our 4 year tenancy. Very grateful to have had her as our main point of contact. Would highly recommend Mydeloton and Major. 4th Aug 2024 (5 weeks ago)Hannah and Jess at Allen and Harris Lettings Dept gave me first class service while helping me to rent out my house. They were extremely friendly and helpful and found me some really good tenants after I'd been trying and failing to do do myself online. The process is straightforward and simple and they always answered my ( sometimes stupid) questions and were very patient if I didn't understand anything. I would thoroughly recommend Allen and Harris in Calne if you need your property rented.
29th Jul 2024 (6 weeks ago)Emailed to ask for a viewing of a house, was called by (apparently) the head office and told it would be booked in. We arranged our day around the viewing and got excited to view what looked like a really lovely house. I got a bad feeling the day we were meant to view it as I hadn't had any confirmation email and was told that I hadn't been booked in at all. I then asked to book it in for another evening and my details were taken this time. Again, arranged our day around the viewing, didn't receive a confirmation email. Rang again and was told that it hadn't been booked in, they didn't have my details on the database and the vendor had said they only wanted people that were ready to buy to view the house and because mine is going through the process of being put on the market, that I couldn't view it. Absolute joke. Wasted so much of our time. AND they had the balls to ask if we needed an estate agent to put our house on the market - as if I would go anywhere near them now. Will be avoiding any houses that are being sold by them now and in the future.

We dealt with a few estate agents during the process of searching for our first home and Imogen & Christina made McFarlane the best estate agents we had dealt with. 27th Aug 2022 (2 years ago)The worst lettings/estate agency I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. All staff dealt with have been incredibly unpleasant, contentious, arrogant, unprofessional, unknowledgeable and unhelpful. This includes the practice manager who failed to respond appropriately or professionally to a complaint. I am contemplating taking further action.

However it is the communication that is excellent. Selling a house can be stressful but at every stage we received guidance, support and clarity. No hesitation in recommending them to you in the highest possible terms- 29th Jul 2024 (6 weeks ago)I chose Allen and Harris for my house, my sale was anything but straight forward due to personal circumstances but Neave and the team were excellent throughout the whole process, navigating the different challenges when they arose and ultimately holding the pieces together until completion.

Emma has come in as the new manager, taken these on and has turned the situation around in 24 hours. Emma is an exceptional agent. She is extremely professional, experienced, really quick to respond and take action. We would highly recommend using her. Hetti goes above and beyond and has been fantastic at keeping us updated. It's been a difficult period but we now once again feel excited at the prospect of our sale and purchase going through and feel in very capable hands. Thank you

15th Aug 2024 (24 days ago)If I could give them zero I would. We used Edward’s for about 6 years to manage our rental property. We live abroad so it’s hard for us to ever see our property empty. I managed to see it after 6 years and I cried. Pure neglect. Mainly down to Edwards not caring about ensuring a tenant handed the property back as they find it. If you’re a tenant, probably the best agents in town, they will let you get away without tidying/cleaning/gardening or generally looking after the property, they will not keep your deposit or check for damage etc when you move out. If you have pets even better, you won’t need to pick up your dog mess or clean the carpets when leaving. My neighbours tell me they scan the property for 2 minutes max once a tenant leaves. Landlords - avoid at all costs, it will cost you a fortune to repair Edwards lack of due diligence and care. They were supposed to be managing the property, I’m not sure they know what that means.
