After a poor experience with an Estate Agency, this was so much less stressful and more pleasant.

27th Apr 2024 (22 days ago)Not impressed with my experience as a potential seller or purchaser. Would give them a lot less than 1 star if it was possible. We had a valuation over a month ago, agent could not give us a valuation at the time and had to speak to her boss and heard nothing since. Really odd since they had sold another almost identical house 2 roads away away 2 or 3 weeks earlier? When queried during my potential purchase viewing was told they had e-mail issues I can only assume they did not have a phone, clearly they didn't want the business? Thankfully we booked 2 valuations that day and chose the other agent who not only gave us a valuation whilst he was here we were also given more confidence in the service on offer. It was the right decision as we sold in a week, but the one shipways sold took about 3 months or so. I made an offer as a purchaser which was increased as I was told by the agent it would be accepted. Then I was asked to increase further so it would be taken off the market as I wasn't sold but they knew this when the offers were made, and it was even on the offer email. A couple of days later when I was sold and after a week of being given the run around by the agent who would be in meetings, viewings and other calls when I tried to contact her I decided to withdraw my offer as could no longer trust what I was being told. Whilst I understand they have to be led by the vendor honesty and trust should be integral to any negotiation. Not sure how you would know the sellers thoughts and movements if you can't contact them?

1st Aug 2022 (1 year ago)With all the things that moving house can throw at you, don't make it any harder than it needs be. Choose the best estate agent, and in the case of Balsall Common/Shirley that's Ginger. Carl and his team have brought a refreshing step change approach to the traditional estate agent offering. Within the space of a week he had sold both mine and my mothers house, within 3 weeks found another house for my mother (we moved out of the area so he could not help there) and then managed the whole transfer process, including recommendations for solicitors, surveyors, removals etc. But beyond the process of moving it is the team dynamic, culture and engagements that make the real connections and ease the transfer through. We felt supported and in safe hands at every stage, almost as colleagues as part of a team rather than a client supplier relationship. Truly we cannot recommend them enough,

It was a bumpy road and without Ann’s support and guidance it would not have reached completion! We cannot thank Ann enough for all of her help during this process! As soon as I spoke to Ann during an initial enquiry about a valuation I new DM&Co were the agent for us. Ann has a wealth of knowledge and experience and kept me sane throughout a stressful process! She is also extremely funny and lovely and you can really tell she cares about her clients. Outstanding customer service throughout! I Would not hesitate to recommend DM&Co!

I was kept informed throughout the process and I would single out Debbie Guest, the agent dealing with my sale, for particular praise.Do not be misled by the price realised for the property, it was in need of complete renovation so could never achieve the prices of similar properties in this road.
