After my great review last year, I am afraid that this year I have to give a rather disappointing rate. I requested to change of bank account for rent to transfer back in Dec 2020 and my rental agreement renewed in March. I emailed to the branch manager, to ensure its all updated. She said its in the system. When it came to March, the rent went to my old account, so I emailed again, she asked me to resend the form again. She told me it was all in the system. To have a peace of mind, I called the credit control and they told me the bank account hasn't updated. So I called, and she told me I need to add a signature same as the agreement, which I did immediately. I was told the rent would be transferred yesterday or today. I didn't receive any statement or rent. I called the accounts department again to find out she was sending the blank form to them, so they are holding the payment. The accounts department told me they now received the form but it would take a process to get approval from administration and it will be more delay. I am totally shocked as to how come a simple bank account change is so complicated. Considering, I sent this request back in December last year. I feel that they passing the ball around and not sorting things out. I have to made around 8 calls and few emails to try to sort this out. As a landlord, the late rent income meaning I have to pay late charges somewhere. I really am disappointed and stress out to deal with this, which I shouldn't have to spend my time calling around their department to ensure things to sort out. Though I didn't want to make a fuss about it, but I though I needed to share my experience here.
