I wholeheartedly recommend Allen and Harris Highworth to anyone in search of a reliable and trustworthy partner for their real estate needs, and Jemma especially. In what ended up being a seven month process and a very stressful time for my partner and I. Marc went above and beyond in all areas and without his dedication and communication up until the very end, it may not have completed in time. Poppy and I would highly recommend Marc and his team to anyone buying or selling in the Hungerford area.

Their communication was excellent, always keeping us updated and very responsive if we left messages or emails. They worked really hard to find buyers for a slightly unusual property. 1st May 2024 (19 days ago)We are due to complete on our first ever house purchase this week and fox and sons have been an absolute pleasure to deal with. Having viewed and attempted to buy a few times over the last few years, we are well versed in the pushy style of other firms and have been nervous of the buying process falling through as it has done on previous properties. From the get go, fox and sons amesbury have been way above any agents we have viewed with in the past. Courtney was relaxed, friendly and informative, allowing a comfortable and unrushed viewing of the property. We took their advice and chose to use the all in services package with sequence/ fox and sons and this has enabled us to step away from a lot of the chasing and allow the different agents to communicate effectively with each other. My husband's working schedule has meant he was unable to visit the property before putting an offer in. HOWEVER: fox and sons have a fantastic video walk round of the property where you can click through the whole building and outside space from different angles. This is accurate and not exaggerated with fish eye lenses etc. This addition enabled my husband to be able to look around the property and discuss it with me and meant we were able to put an offer in without delay. Without this we would not have been able to offer before someone else did. This tool is incredible and such a plus point. It's also meant I can wistfully 'walk around' the property and plan our layouts before completion. Amy has been incredibly informative and reassuring and speaks to you like you're her only client and nothing is a bother. There were issues further up the chain but she explained and reassured us knowing we were nervous as having been burned before with chains failing. Courtney and Amy are an absolute pleasure and I am so happy that we have been fortunate enought to buy through Fox and Sons amesbury. They will be our go to if we ever decide to sell. Customers for life!

He made timely & helpful comments, facilitating our ability to make decisions prior to finding a buyer, asked questions of buyers to support us in making informed decisions, then kept us well informed throughout the process to completion. I would recommend Downer & Co if you were looking to sell or buy a home.

Selling a house can be stressful but at every stage we received guidance, support and clarity. No hesitation in recommending them to you in the highest possible terms

4th May 2024 (16 days ago)AVOID AT ANY COST if you are a landlord! Chancellors handled my last tenancy extremely poorly from start to finish. It was so bad I had to get the ombudsman involved who ruled against Chancellors and awarded significant compensation. From losing keys (and refusing to pay for them), to messing up the tenancy documentation, and a section 21 notice to evict my tenant, the whole process went by very poorly. Their 'fully managed' tenancy service means they contract out property management to a third party company in Bracknell (Thameside Property Management - google reviews if you don't believe how bad it is), so you won't get a local contact for PM tasks. TPM have a very high turnover rate of demoralized staff, who will ignore your calls and emails, and struggle to do their job properly. Please please save your sanity and go with another lettings agent if you are a landlord!

18th Mar 2024 (9 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
30th Jan 2024 (16 weeks ago)One of the worst experiences I have had. Incompetence doesn’t cover it. As someone who demands reliability and integrity I would not use this company. They are poor at communicating and when direct emails are sent they are ignored. If you are a seller I would choose another company as they will more than likely lose you clients. As a buyer I would go direct to the owner of the property and make an off the cards offer and cut them out.

We went through every detail about the property, and he took the time to answer every question I had. I'm now on my way to secure a new flat with Chancellors, and I'm confident it will be a quick and professional experience.

We would highly recommend Avocado Properties services to anyone looking for residential lettings or sales. Our agent Pooja was exceptional. From start to finish, she was super helpful and always ready to help. Throughout the process, communication was excellent. She was always accessible, promptly returning calls and emails, and keeping us updated every step of the way. Thank you Pooja for making our move stress free!

SHF are a breath of fresh air, getting my properties back to a good standard with great suppliers, keeping me up to date at all times and finding new tenants. Highly recommend them.

However Harvey provided great support throughout the process and ensured the transaction came to a close with always a positive attitude. Particularly the unbiased support we got from Harvey as buyers towards a short term let due to delays in buying the property was the most helpful. Highly recommend! Thanks Harvey!
