He has been keeping me updated with the process at all times. This is the second house he has sold for me.. definitely will be using him again !! 18th Mar 2024 (7 weeks ago)Myself and my husband viewed a property to rent on the 9th March, as we're relocating from another part of the country. Ben was very professional and incredibly friendly. He answered all our questions and most importantly he let us take our time viewing as he recognised we needed that. Unfortunately although it was a lovely house, it wasn't in the right area for us. However, after such a positive experience during such a stressful time, Atkinson Stilgoe is definitely our preferred letting agency in our ongoing search for a house.

The agents have zero interest in your needs and interests but expect maximum cooperation when they need it. Totally unprofessional bordering on being ignorant, causing me ongoing problems because of their lack of communications.

29th Feb 2024 (10 weeks ago)As I can't reply to your reply I'll write another I was told 10 minutes late then the turn up past 11 I've no need to lie about the shocking service I received I offer you five hundred advance you wanted 3 months advance of three months deposit then almost 500 extra for your own charges, service was horrendous customer service skills was non existent yet you reply like I'm in the wrong the place is a joke let's hope everyone reads your other people reviews before using such a shocking service provider just goes to show anyone can open a business and call themselves professionals isn't it your review score says it all where as my business reviews are 5* but yeah I'm making it up about the horrendous service you lot provide
18th Mar 2024 (7 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

6th May 2024 (2 days ago)Stephen at Avocado was brilliant. Explained everything from our first meeting. I was able to view photos of my property before they appeared online. Throughout the process he kept in constant communication and were available if I had any questions.

I was kept informed throughout the process and I would single out Debbie Guest, the agent dealing with my sale, for particular praise.Do not be misled by the price realised for the property, it was in need of complete renovation so could never achieve the prices of similar properties in this road. 25th Apr 2024 (13 days ago)We brought our house through Black and Golds. We mainly dealt with Suzi, considering she wasn’t actually our direct estate agent she couldn’t be more helpful. Communication was brilliant and detailed throughout. It was quite a long and complicated chain which was, at times, hard work. The help from Black and Golds made this process much easier. It was a pleasure to deal with them. We didn’t sell with them but the experience of buying with them would make me consider using them in the future.

Hannah was great on the first appointment, I loved how they sent letters and a welcome email with a personal touch of a marketing booklet to give you tips etc on what to expect and prepare for on the day of the appointment and photos. Richard has been amazing with conducting the viewing’s he really knows his stuff and gets on great with the buyers. Ellie has been working hard behind the scenes on offers with keeping me in the loop every step of the way. The team are friendly, honest, super knowledgeable and just exactly what we need to help sell our home. After being on with a previous agent that caused us nothing but stress, Oakmans have been a breathe of fresh air! Their marketing is second to none, the photos are fantastic, the photographer/marketing manager Roman was absolutely brilliant on the day of photos. Communication has been spot on from the moment we spoke to them, something that was super important to us. We have been kept in the loop every step of the way and I’ve not had to chase them once wondering what is going on. We could not be happier and would definitely recommend Oakmans to all. We have had 5 star service from day one and I know this will continue throughout our sale journey. We truly wished we used Oakmans in the first instance as it would have saved us a hell of a lot of stress!
