I would in particular like to thank Matt, Paul and Claire at Ocean for their property know how, hard work and wizardry. They were instrumental in negotiating an incredibly good price on the sale of my parent’s home. During Lockdown, they stepped up and helped our family at a very difficult time, my Mum had just died of anaphylaxis and my brother had recently received a terminal cancer diagnosis and not given long to live.
They were wonderful, taking the worry and pressure of the sale off my brother, who’d taken on the responsibility. It was a complex process, involving many houses in a chain. They skilfully managed the sale with ease, expertise and a lightness of touch which impressed my brother, who isn’t so ready with praise. My brother, my Dad and myself were deeply grateful for their involvement, resulting in a successful sale which I believe contributed to his peaceful departure.
Two years later, I too was immensely grateful again to Matt, who helped me find a buy to let in Portishead. I’d be looking on Rightmove for over 6 months and was becoming more and disheartened. I approached Matt at Ocean, who within no time, found me a gorgeous place. It far exceeded my expectations. It was so well loved, cared for and I in turn loved it. I credit Matt for being the linchpin in securing not just financial, but also emotional stability for my son and me. He’s created peace of mind which is a huge deal at a time when decisions made concerning hearth, home and potential investments make a significant difference to a sense of security and quality of life.
I’d also like to thank Keith at Ocean for being fantastic in helped navigate me through the letting process and for finding a wonderful family for my rental home. I’d worked hard to set it up as a holiday rental but realised that financially this was an insecure venture for me over the winter months.
I felt very reassured after speaking to Keith who gave me a good understanding of the letting options they offer. After investing so much time and energy setting up the property, I decided that I was done. I now wanted to be as free as possible of any responsibilities and opt for a more stress free life without the need to deal with difficulties, concerns or any legal issues if they should arise. Keith clearly has a wealth of experience and knowledge and dealing with him which has been a very pleasant and positive experience. It makes me very happy knowing that my rental home is in good hands.

Matt has been great when conducting viewings, allowing the buyer to look round and process what they are viewing without constant commentary, but able to provide useful information and answer questions asked.

I had a smooth experience with the team. Expecially with Keith and Charlie who were always readily available to answer my numerous questions every step of the letting process. Keith was very detailed and patient with us when we went to get the key to the flat and I liked his honestly and openness with my family and I. Charlie empathy was top notch, helping us speak with the landlord multiple times to express our interest. I would rate the team 10stars If I could fine one ????. Wish you guys all the best.
