The sale of my house proved to be a little emotional at times and with it being the first house I have sold, I was completely clueless. The staff at WHBrown sold my house with 1 month of it going on the market at a time of year I have always been told can be difficult to sell. They supported me through-out, kept me up to date and informed at all times giving me solid advise that helped me along the way. They have consistently been there for questions if I needed them too. I would highly recommend using these guys in downham market!! Thankyou all again for all your help
21st Feb 2023 (1 year ago)Mel and the team could not have been more helpful. Friendly, professional and caring Our Mother passed away June 22 and they handled everything very sensitively. It was a very difficult time for us having lost Mum and then having to sell the house. Cannot thank them enough for the way the sale was handled with us in mind. Highly recommend.
12th Feb 2024 (16 weeks ago)Had a very poor experience trying to collect keys to my first house with this branch. We were due to complete on a Friday but called ahead to let them know we'd be over Saturday afternoon to collect keys. When called on completion day I alerted a 2nd member of staff we'd be coming Saturday afternoon and not right away. We'd be driving from Oxford (3 hours away) so wanted to make sure they were definitely expecting us. We arrive 2:35pm Saturday to an empty branch, wait 90 mins before calling around to see if anyone from other branches can get in touch with the DM agents as they close at 4. The Norwich branch managed to call the DM agent who confirmed out on a Valuation but back soon as only 10-15 mins away and coming back to branch before finishing for the day. An hour then passes so it's 5pm and still no agent. We waited 2.5 hours on an afternoon when they knew we were coming to collect keys and nothing. Lied to the Norwich branch that they would be coming soon. Thankfully no chain so we hadn't arranged removal vans for that day as I have no idea what we'd have done if all our belongings were packed up. To top it all off while waiting the extra hour between 4-5pm my car was driven into in the nearby car park. 6 hours of driving, a wasted day & a damaged car later I get a call from Ollie the branch manager basically saying "yeah, sorry about that, see you next week" Happy to prioritise new business over fulfilling remaining obligations from a previous sale. Dreadful.

Ben Rivett was an invaluable source of advice, both at the planning and valuation stages. The quality of his recommendations helped us readily achieve a very good sale. Natalie Howlett- Clarke handled the negotiation and completion stages with great professionalism. Her communication and responsiveness were first rate. Moreover, I really enjoyed working with Ben and Natalie for their friendliness, honesty and good humour, as well as for their high level of professional capability.

- 1st May 2024 (5 weeks ago)Exceeded my expectations by a wide margin at every part of the letting process; Ben Penfold worked astoundingly hard in securing a tenant for my property at a speed and at a monthly rent which were far beyond my most optimistic estimates. He then looked after securing the necessary compliance certificates, drawing up the tenancy agreement and arranging for works to be carried out at the property, resulting in scarcely any hassle for me, and the tenant moving in months ahead of the date I had been envisaging. Every part of the process was cheaper than I had been anticipating, too, and it is hard to think of how the service might have been improved.

The standard of clean expected is always incredibly high, Beebys go above and beyond to ensure that properties are clean and well presented for new tenants. The team at Beebys are professional, yet approachable. Always friendly and appreciative. They are an absolute joy to communicate with. We would, and do, recommend them to friends and family who are looking for properties to let or buy.

Some agents let buyers scroll thru avail props refined by area/price, wotev. I seek something rural in or near Throckenholt/Gedney Hill etc

Professional, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. We were not local to Kings Lynn and Sowerby`s were recommended to us, and we were not disappointed.
8th May 2024 (25 days ago)Not very happy with them. No contact at all in 8 weeks except to reduce property price. Unhappy no viewings at all. On this occasion, I was very unhappy with them and changed estate agents.

When a Grade II listed property is involved, there are likely to be wrinkles. Still, Jan, in particular, was a highly responsive conduit between the seller and us, ensuring matters were attended to correctly and timely. The sale and contracts are now exchanged, with both parties happy - the exact definition of a good negotiation outcome.
