27th Apr 2024 (23 days ago)Not a great experience with this company. Placed in a property via my local authority. One company fronts for this company. From day one I reported issues to the initial company I was introduced to. I had a random visit from the owner of this company who found it amusing and failed to comprehend exposed scolding hot pipes, over 1.5m drops in the back garden with no rails, loose paving, an un lockable back door, holes in walls and floors plus many more hazards were an serious issue for an ASD child. He dismissed me and instructed me to get a quote to decorate the bathroom while skipping out of the house arrogantly. I have since come to find out he is not just the estate agent but also the owner. After months of failed repairs by unskilled random men I had to get Environmental Health to inspect. In addition to the faults I identified there were multiple hazards identified including Cat 1 health and safety issues. I have even found slugs in the house. After all this still no effort to repair. Have the audacity to call me sis when you met me but have me and my kids living like this? Absolutely disgraceful people. When I am moved the whole street will get a copy of the report so other families you happily take GBP’s for will know exactly what they are dealing with!
17th Dec 2023 (22 weeks ago)We are family of 3 from HKG. We rent a house before coming to uk from a Chinese but it’s totally different from what we expected and far beyond the contract. We hurry up look for other place to move and keep sending request but very few responses from the property agency because we have no job references. Until we met Matthew from Good Neighbour Estate, we got a light of hope. He kept updating me the new properties they have on hand that suited our requirements and budget and arranged house visit quickly. You are a very responsible and reliable agent. 8th Jun 2019 (4 years ago)After meeting with three agents, De Scottia were the chosen agent for a number of reasons. First being they were not pushing for a hard sale. Secondly, our agent Daniel quickly took note of the living situation with my elderly mother and took on board my comments of how fragile she is and to liaise with myself on everything to not stress her out. He was brilliant from the start. Very easy to get hold of, prompt and efficient. He explained everything to us and was more than happy to explain anything we didn't understand without making us feel silly. Daniel was happy to get his hands dirty and move boxes (and a large bed!) to get the photos he needed. When we went on holiday and he needed access he ensured he understood the alarm system and sent me texts whilst away to keep me update and assure me the alarm was put back on. Fantastic service and really pleased we went with them. Daniel gave us honest feedback and we had an offer within 2 weeks. Sale went through smoothly I would highly recommend. Daniel also gave me great advice when I was purchasing our new home. His knowledge on how much to offer etc was brilliant.

26th May 2022 (1 year ago)The unique service offered by Griffin has enabled me to complete a DIY sale of my home on the Internet using national property sale platforms as if I was the website. I listed my property at 8am and by 9.30am on the same day I was receiving emails from potential purchaser's. I well know the power of the Internet, but even I was surprised by the speed of it all. The Griffin team have the power to listen and assist you, I wish to thank the person at Griffin who originated this professional service and his team for doing a great job. If I ever need to sell a home in future I will immediately use the Griffin service and have been recommending them to family and friends. Thank you.

Nathaniel was always available to talk with his good nature and attitude at all times. Reducing some of the inevitable stress that comes with moving was what I hoped and Nathaniel and John Payne Estate Agents delivered on that.

13th Apr 2024 (5 weeks ago)James kept us updated weekly with market details, views our property were getting online/on apps & got viewing feedback for us the next working day. He fought our corner every step of the way when we found a buyer too & was friendly and professional throughout the whole process. Communication was mostly done through Email & at times WhatsApp. This kept things stress free, casual & so it didn't feel like a spam of calls were coming in. The emails also didn't feel like spam & always felt like they were important and informative for our property. I can't reccomend James enough, a better estate agent than most others who just like to spam & waste your time. Everything with James felt productive & informative, no time wasted.

We originally had a viewing at one property and mentioned to Kevin a property we had noticed they were advertising. He was able to set up a viewing for the house that day. We met George at the property who was very knowledgeable. The both of them were able to get the answers to all our questions and also helped us get over the line. Really happy that we were paired with these two powerhouses! Thanks again for all your help and support during the process, especially with us being first time buyers!
