3rd Apr 2024 (7 weeks ago)Searching for a property to rent locally, contacted Beals, took some personal information from me over the phone, got a viewing the next day. All was great! A member of the team showed us round the property, which looked fab. Just what we were after. However I asked how to pursue to secure the property, to have a reply of ‘we have received many emails about this property and had to ignore most of them due to the high demand!’ ….but just reply back to my viewing confirmation email. So I got home, replied back to his email asking to persue. 48 hours later still no reply, I called the branch to be told the estate agent would call me back. The next morning I receive an email ‘Unfornalty the landlord isn’t willing to go with yourselves this time. We do another 2-bedroom property on. I can send you over this now for you to look’ - this was the spelling too, again not very professional. We were dishearten but respect we may not be what the landlord is after. But no 2 bedroom property ever sent to us. I really felt like I was a number to get up the viewings on the flat, no real compassion or listening to our needs to persue anything else. Very unprofessional. Would not recommend Beales Parkgate.
4th May 2024 (15 days ago)Keep getting useless newsletter and other emails. Clicked unsubscribe, still getting them. Contacted Your Move and they say you have to contact the branch. Contacted the branch twice and they still won't stop sending me emails. Have reported to ICO now

15th May 2024 (4 days ago)Abbey at Fox & Sons Bitterne was fabulous! Her communication was great, attention to detail equally matched her communication. She took note of our concerns regarding losing another property, went above and beyond to get the paperwork over to us prior to viewing, quickly sorted everything else out and we got the keys promptly. Abbey was approachable throughout the process, kept us well updated etc. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone and when we eventually come to move out, I would not hesitate to use her again :)- 15th Mar 2024 (9 weeks ago)Unprofessional, u pay a deposit and wait ages that someone comes back to u. 14th May 2024 (5 days ago)I can’t recommend Darren and the team highly enough. This is the second house sale I have undertaken with them. They are readily available throughout the process, helpful, good communication and very organised but also provide a personal service. They made the whole process as simple and seamless as it could be.

We never felt worried to pick up the phone and ask questions and they always replied to emails the same day. They were aware of our time difference and always called at times that suited us. They were honest, straightforward and always friendly. We felt like their main priority at all times and I couldn’t recommend them enough.

They were friendly, kept us informed when there was something to report and made enquiries down the chain when there seemed to be nothing to report and helped us in many ways to get over the line on what was a somewhat protracted sale and purchase. It never seemed to be a problem for her and her can do attitude made everything for us a lot easier and smoother. Very professional and highly capable of doing her job for which we are grateful. We bought one house and sold two with them and every single time they went above and beyond. Communicating everything at every step and chasing everyone. When difficulties arose, they suggested creative solutions to overcome those and get to the finish line. I wouldn't work with anybody else.
19th Apr 2024 (30 days ago)Where do we start? Jackson Bailey were 10/10 when selling our home. During what was an incredibly protracted process, which took six months from start to finish; Ben and the team kept in continual contact and chased where needed to ensure that the relevant progress was made. Having sold with JB, but purchased through a useless purple online agent (whose own ‘sales progression’ service was dreadful, talk about ‘commisery!’); Ben had to step-in and liaise on both our sale and purchase; doing the job of our seller’s agent at times too! Communication was clear, constant and effective, and we found the WhatsApp group an excellent way of getting updates outside of normal working hours. A refreshing change from having to leave constant voicemails to other agents in the chain. Overall, a justifiably FIVE STAR service from Jackson Bailey. We would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking to sell in the local area and cannot thank them enough for their efforts.

We have 2 small children and nothing gets repaired, the shower doesn't work properly the washing machine is draining into buckets among several other issues that affect our daily life unfortunately we still have 9 more month to go.

11th May 2024 (8 days ago)Initially had 3 Valuers from local agents. All came in with similar valuations. Jamie who valued ours seemed to be the strongest character and least like a “yes man” What they did that was different to the others was show examples of the same properties being marketed by themselves vs other agents. We also noticed that most of the stuff we were clicking on on Rightmove were theirs. Tammie who was the seller, very direct, no messing about and always felt like I was being treated honestly.
31st Mar 2024 (7 weeks ago)My review is regarding the lettings team, and the landlord Clydesdale Group or any of their associated companies (e.g., Templeton Stockbridge). More info on issues I've had with the Clydesdale rentals below (Elmfield block and Clydes Dale Court). Make sure everything is in writing. Clarify any ambiguity no matter how small over email. Charters will continuously mislead you and intentionally lie with false information in order to secure deposits and have agreements signed. If this happens, you can contact your financial institute through which you paid. My bank confirmed that my deposit was obtained fraudulently and could be claimed as a scam. They will go back on everything written and verbal (e.g., their recorded calls) and claim misunderstandings every time. They probably won't honour what they initially agreed but it's useful to have the evidence for claims or if you need to get out of the agreement early. If you do rent with them, they will likely send outdated inventories so you have to spend hours fixing and updating it, essentially doing their job for them. And then they'll try to blame you for issues they failed to record on the check in inventory. You need to be really thorough with the inventory to ensure you get your deposit back. They take 3+ months to carry out repairs and hire contractors that do shoddy jobs (that cause further damage) if they even bother to do the repair. There is no communication, you have to chase up everything, and then they try to deflect the blame. Management is just as bad. Finally got in touch with a director 6 months into my tenancy only to get more excuses, minimising, glossing over things, not bothering to look into the details/complaints properly, and taking no accountability. Minimal morals, and minimal care for tenants. What's worse is that Charters staff gaslight you, and are passive aggressive. Staff are ridiculously incompetent, lazy. Elmfield block If you do an Internet search you will see that I am not the only one that was lied to by Charters and vital H&S information withheld. They lied about mould, the type of construction being done, and ongoing water contamination concerns. After being caught out they blamed it on a "new" staff member not being aware, except she wasn't new (she moved from sales to rentals) and the manager also didn't disclose any of these issues on the numerous occasions I spoke with her. Clydes Dale Court - Landlord refused to address mould and damp issues caused by various leaks despite being made aware of their legal obligations. There is a dampness and ventilation issue in the whole building resulting in a silverfish issue. - Charters and the landlord lied to me about which furniture I was going to be provided. I rented a fully furnished house--everything is in writing about which furniture was agreed to and was told that it would be new. On move in day, 90% of the furniture was either missing or not correct, some of it really old and in poor condition. This was never resolved. - I was assured it would be professionally cleaned. There were urine stains on the bathroom wall. Every radiator covered in layers of dust, spider webs, dog hair. Mould on every window sill and in the kitchen walls. Dirty surfaces. Stains on walls and skirting (including a brown stain near the bathroom switch). Overgrown garden with dog faeces, and covered with trash (amounting to bin bag full once picked up). Carpet smelled of wet dog after supposed professional wash for duration of my tenancy. - There is a sewage issue for all the flats that they won't resolve. - Numerous counts of unauthorised entry when I wasn't home despite me stating that I do not want entry without my presence or knowledge and that this is illegal. Also had a contractor try to enter using his own copy knowing that I was home. Contractors have copies of keys to all the flats, which is not safe at all. They eventually changed my locks after 7 months because I had evidence that someone entered while I was on holiday and because I said I was going to report it to the council and the police.
