4th Apr 2024 (8 weeks ago)We recently used w h brown Harrogate to sell a relatives property and I have to say that the service was very good in general. We had been on the market with 2 other agents in Harrogate prior to browns dealing with the sale and had not had a great experience with either agent! So I was very specific in the service I wanted when instructing browns…. initially I dealt with the previous manager who was excellent but left the company prior to us agreeing a sale ….the new manager however Claire introduced herself and then handled the property negotiations at offer stage and chased the sale up, we completed approximately 9 weeks after agreeing the sale, she provided an excellent service.I was a manager of an estate agents for 25 years so know what makes a good agent and I can honestly recommend W H Brown Harrogate if you are looking to sell in the Harrogate area. Bridgfords valued and marketed our property precisely and with their nationwide network it was soon sold. This is when Anna and her team really started to work,always being proactive communicating with us,solicitors and buyers and we’re always at hand. I cannot thank them enough and would thoroughly recommend Bridgfords.

We encountered them when buying a house a few years ago and were impressed at their fairness in handling the buyer/seller balance. Hence tje decision to use them when selling. This last transaction fell at a difficult time and had some complications but they showed patience, persistence, courtesy and even humour. In brief, we trust them.

9th Apr 2019 (5 years ago)Fantastic, friendly service. From the first viewing when we initially met Ben, we knew the whole process of the sale of our second home was in safe hands with Savills. Jennifer Kendrew was our daily point of contact with Savills York and we consider ourselves very lucky to have worked with her throughout this process. We received invaluable advice prior to putting the house on the market and throughout the sales process. Their photography company, who completed the images for both the sales brochure and internet images, were highly professional and worked wonders. There were a few hundred miles between our residence and the house we were selling, leading to its own challenges, but Jennifer could not have been more helpful and motivational. From the one and only open day, which Jennifer attended, several offers were received, culminating in the final sale. No mean feat in the current uncertain and challenging economic climate. Regardless of the issues to be discussed, Jennifer handled all communication with ourselves in a pro-active way as well as tricky negotiations with 3rd parties. Should a problem or delay arise, Jennifer always found a way to solve it with excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude. We would not hesitate to recommend Jennifer and the Savills York team for anyone considering selling their house in the area.

Emma Mitchell in particular handled our latest tenancy post a long term renter vacating. The process was smooth, communication open and swift renewal achieved. I'd highly recommend them if you're a landlord seeking a stress-less agency/owner relationship.

They have also forged a seamless relationship with Knight Richardson Solicitors meaning nothing is missed and all is done at an impressive pace. This is the sixth property I've bought and sold but the first with Davis Lund and won't bother calling anyone else, the best thing is both buyer and seller were left informed and happy.
