24th Apr 2024 (25 days ago)An individual named Sebastian works at these premises , he and his manager Sara are a little bully crew, who are happy to try and intimidate their customers to not claim any responsibility, spoke in an absolute abominable tone to my mother ! Wouldn’t be surprised if they had rabid rats for brains !

From the agent that sowed us the house, Frank to the manager Tom and all of the team members we’ve been in contact with they are all absolute stars ???? Tom in particular took his time to put me at ease with everything that came across and made this process so easy and truly enjoyable for us. Everything went smoothly and very quick They never failed to answer the phone or to get back to me about anything straight away. We had to deal with many agencies during our search but by far Gregory Brown offer the best and most effective service of them all! I highly recommend them to everyone who is looking for someone that cares and most importantly get the job done well ! 5 starts all the way

19th Apr 2024 (30 days ago)Just a reminder to everyone about how Orland Reid tried their hardest to screw me a while back (unsuccessfully). They subsequently also tried to report my negative review to Google to have it deleted (also unsuccessfully). I still feel so angry about this and feel it's important to warn others about the conduct of this agency, even after some time has passed - here's my original review: AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL!!! These guys tried unsuccessfully to retain my deposit, blame damage on me that was not on any inventory report and charge me for "work" needed to rectify this fictitious damage using their own workmen, whose quotes for work were laughably extortionate (so no tender process/transparency and taking a cut, no doubt). I had to go through 3 months of tenancy deposit scheme adjudication to get my money back. Their staff and, importantly their owner/partner, deliberately misled me repeatedly and withheld information throughout the whole process, making it as difficult and long winded as possible. The intention must have been that I'd just get too frustrated and give up? They were also paid by the landlord to act on their behalf but at the same time claim to be totally impartial (which is impossible).They are solely motivated by money - this scamming must be part of their business plan and I cannot imagine I am the only one who has had to go through this unnecessary, time consuming and upsetting process. If I could give them zero stars I would. if I could take them to court to reclaim money for the amount of my time they wasted, I would. It makes me so angry that "Estate Agents" like this can still exist. There are so many better, more trustworthy and honest agencies out there, there really is no need to put yourself through the nightmare of dealing with Orlando Reid. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! You have been warned!
24th Apr 2024 (25 days ago)It has been a little over 2 years now since I first decided to rent my flat in Slough with Connells. There were tons of letting agents who had approached me to utilize their services, but I somehow decided to pick Connells as they had made big promises on how efficiently they will be able to manage my property. Frankly, in this past year, not one week has gone by where I didn't regret my decision. While the first year was relatively smooth sailing, there were always indications of how abysmal the whole experience is going to turn out - not always returning calls, me having to chase them for the smallest of issues, avoidable errors in putting together simple documentation - from the tenancy agreement to maintenance certificates to issuing the wrong rental statement. They issued me a boiler installation certificate with the wrong address, and it has been 8 months since I asked them to correct it, and I am still chasing them. 240 days later!!! But this past year, Connells has just been a colossal disappointment. My tenant had complained of mold in the flat and Connells, as managers of the flat, were responsible to look after the issue promptly. Not only did I have to chase them numerous times to get the issue looked into, the tenant also shared similar frustrations with me, as he had tried to reach Connells several times to report the issue, but he had received no assurance that they will look into the problem. After much back and forth, they managed to get the right contractors to investigate the problem only 3 months later - first there was confusion between the head office and Slough office on who sends the contractor, then they send someone to inspect the roof (when there was nothing wrong with the roof!!). By the time, the right contractors went in to inspect the issue, the problem had already worsened - it was later determined that the mold was because of a leaking pipe, which could have been identified much earlier and limited the damage significantly. Given this was not potentially the tenant's fault, it was agreed, after much deliberation, to give the tenant a compensation of 50% off on the rent for a month - but given how much of this was owing to a fault on Connell's part in getting the issue resolved promptly, I asked Connells to bear half of the loss. First Connells refused to admit they were at fault and then when I pressed on, they eventually agreed to compensate me £150 as they accepted responsibility in the delay in getting contractors in + agreed to reduce my service charge from 8% to 6%. This was agreed almost 2 months ago and I am still waiting to be compensated. Two rent cycles have gone by and Connells has done nothing to either redress the matter nor do I have the updated boiler certificate. I have sent hundreds of emails to Balreet Grewal from the Slough office and Emily Sheehan and Beth David from the head office and I have been met with radio silence. I barely managed to speak to Bal two weeks ago and he said he had instructed head office to take care of it and should be done soon, but still nothing! Why should I be caught in the cross fire between the Slough office and the head office. I pay about £100 per month to Connells for management of my flat only to be given this dreadful service. I am writing this review now because I am frankly tired of chasing Connells. Overall, I would not recommend Connells to anyone in search of reliable and efficient property management services. Their consistent delays in communication and subpar service have only served to exacerbate the situation these past few months.

Sheetal worked with us and our conveyancing solicitors and ensured there were no last-minute surprises. She kept us informed and helped us navigate through the buying process. Paul was always quick to respond and even worked around our busy schedule, allowing us to view the house on a Friday evening. We're now happily settled in our new home, all thanks to Paul's excellent help and support. Highly recommend! A great friendly and helping staff.

Not only are its fees competitive and fair, I am also impressed by the professional standards and excellent efficiency of its staff and have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this particular firm to potential landlords looking for agents. In particular, I highly commend the services provided by their Mr Rowan Mohan who was outstanding from the very outset. While handling the rental of my London apartment, he was very helpful, committed and resourceful. There was robustness in his advertising outreach and attentiveness in keeping me updated on a regular basis. As a result, he was able to secure a number of viewings and even fast turn-around.

Would recommend for anyone looking in the area to go with Alpha, just a shame there is no physical location available.

3rd Mar 2024 (11 weeks ago)Im shocked at the level of lack professionalism disreguard of potential tennents aswell of lack of care. I arranged a viewing for saturday. Its a good job i called up to confirm and check the address. Turns out my viewing had been cancelled as property was gone. No one called me to update me. I would of been standing out side waiting in the rain and no one would of been coming. To add insult to the matter, when asked why i wasnt informed i was told there was 40-50 people viewing, they didnt have time to call so many people. The lack of care and whatever attidtude is some what concerning. So basicaly we dont care about letting you know you been cancelled. Leads me to wounder if they are the same with tennants. If something needs replacing or fixing will they even respond?
