We found him to be realistic, candid, professional and personable. He was willing to go the extra mile to help us in selling the property, kept us well informed throughout the sale and was always available for advice when needed. We would highly recommend him and his team.

26th Sep 2023 (11 mo. ago)I requested a visit for a valuation at Allen & Harris estate agents and had a date booked. I was allocated an estate agent from the start and he made contact with me by email to introduce himself. This gave me reassurance and comfort that I had a direct contact with an estate agent from the beginning and I didn't have to call a shop and wait to be put through to speak to an estate agent. Due to a change of circumstances I had to change date of valuation and contacted Tony my estate agent to see if he could attend my home that same day. To my surprise Tony fitted me in for a valuation the same day! I was delighted with the service. It was unhurried, straight to the point and most importantly I didn't feel under pressure to choose them. The whole visit was finished within 45 mins which suited me as I had other things to do that day. More importantly Allen & Harris had the best rates compared to other estate agents. Since choosing Allen & Harris I have been in contact with my estate agent Tony nearly everyday asking questions and finalising my plans. Tony always returns my emails promptly and nothing is ever a hassle! I wasn't looking forward to having estate agents visit my house and listen to their marketing spiel but Tony was different and made choosing an estate agents easier than expected. I would highly recommend Tony at Allen & Harris, Stirling.
15th Nov 2021 (2 years ago)This used to be a decent enough place until they employed idiots during the pandemic. The Shirley one who started in 2021 is particularly rude and obnoxious. She simply will not answer emails or return calls. Nothing professional about her at all but I guess when you pay peanuts you get monkeys! ???????

26th May 2022 (2 years ago)The unique service offered by Griffin has enabled me to complete a DIY sale of my home on the Internet using national property sale platforms as if I was the website. I listed my property at 8am and by 9.30am on the same day I was receiving emails from potential purchaser's. I well know the power of the Internet, but even I was surprised by the speed of it all. The Griffin team have the power to listen and assist you, I wish to thank the person at Griffin who originated this professional service and his team for doing a great job. If I ever need to sell a home in future I will immediately use the Griffin service and have been recommending them to family and friends. Thank you.

20th Sep 2024 (1 day ago)I was impressed with Gavin and Lee from the start. I would recommend Venters to anyone. Gavin took time to research similar properties and suggested a realistic price which worked well for me. I'd had a valuation from another company (that company had not been recommended by GetAgent). Their valuation was way short of what Gavin suggested. Gavin also gave me other useful advice on selling etc as it had been a while since I'd done this.
19th Aug 2024 (5 weeks ago)If I could give 0 stars I would. Their communication was poor, despite claiming to be available until 10pm. Our viewing was booked for 5pm. We turned up at 4.59pm and were told to go and wait in the car, because there were still people viewing. When the previous viewers had left we entered the house. Tony rushed us through the house in about 10 seconds explaining ”hallway, kitchen, outdoor tap, outdoor electric.” He sat down on his phone for the remainder of the viewing. He took 2 phone calls during our 5-10 minute viewing. Tony made me feel uncomfortable. He told us that Hamish Homes are the only letting agents that do not use fisheye lenses to take pictures, which is a lie. When I asked if we could leave the property by the rear entrance to see the rest of the property, Tony stared at me and said “that’s a really weird question”. The properly was offers over £210k so we put in a very good offer of £218k (which it wasn’t worth to be honest), and the house had been on the market for months. Our solicitor was then told in writing that no offer below £225k would be considered. If we’d had this info previously, we would have never made an offer through a solicitor, that we now have to pay. Massive waste of our time and money. The only way we found out that the property had actually sold, was through Facebook. Tony comes across as a guy who is fed up with his job and will squeeze every penny out of buyers regardless of value. Basically a big waste of money and time, and I believe the property was misleadingly advertised for their benefit. We have since purchased a different property through a different estate agent. I would avoid.
