17th Jan 2024 (18 weeks ago)Really disappointing service from Martin & Co when viewing a rental property. No level of customer service. Lettings Manager didn't care that there were issues with the property, 'let as seen' attitude despite there being damage to walls and issues in the bathrooms, snagging issues throughout. Not provided any information on next steps or application process. Waste of my afternoon, having taken time off work to go and view the property.

17th May 2024 (3 days ago)Worst experience I’ve ever had. I’ve been renting for almost 5 years in the UK and nothing has been this bad. The property was not ready for anyone to live in it - I was without hot hotter for three weeks in winter, there were fleas in the flat, heaters didn’t work. The agency didn’t do anything to help and always took way to long for basic things. Wouldn’t recommend.

I successfully won a property with no reserve and although the auction has ended. The auction was reopened as presumably they did not make enough money. This is not the first time. Very dishonest agent.
27th Apr 2024 (23 days ago)Not impressed with my experience as a potential seller or purchaser. Would give them a lot less than 1 star if it was possible. We had a valuation over a month ago, agent could not give us a valuation at the time and had to speak to her boss and heard nothing since. Really odd since they had sold another almost identical house 2 roads away away 2 or 3 weeks earlier? When queried during my potential purchase viewing was told they had e-mail issues I can only assume they did not have a phone, clearly they didn't want the business? Thankfully we booked 2 valuations that day and chose the other agent who not only gave us a valuation whilst he was here we were also given more confidence in the service on offer. It was the right decision as we sold in a week, but the one shipways sold took about 3 months or so. I made an offer as a purchaser which was increased as I was told by the agent it would be accepted. Then I was asked to increase further so it would be taken off the market as I wasn't sold but they knew this when the offers were made, and it was even on the offer email. A couple of days later when I was sold and after a week of being given the run around by the agent who would be in meetings, viewings and other calls when I tried to contact her I decided to withdraw my offer as could no longer trust what I was being told. Whilst I understand they have to be led by the vendor honesty and trust should be integral to any negotiation. Not sure how you would know the sellers thoughts and movements if you can't contact them?

7th May 2024 (13 days ago)Rented a property back in 2021. Council tax was included in the contract to be paid by the landlord. Fast forward 3 years and I’ve now found out the landlord never paid it and I’ve got debt collectors knocking at my door for payment. Written proof from your move that it was included, but Your move and the landlord are refusing to accept responsibility. Avoid this company like the plague!

As a first-time buyer there were many aspects I was unfamiliar with, but David/Amelia were always on hand to provide support and ensure the process went as smoothly as possible. Couldn't recommend highly enough!

Where I had used another estate agents AP Morgan to sell my property, I wish I had used Oakmans. Trina, from the beginning, was chasing on my behalf when it should have been my estate agent's doing this. The transition to Lesley was seamless whilst Trina was on leave. I can't fault them a genuine care for a smooth transaction on both parties. Thank you!!!! ????
