3rd Sep 2023 (1 year ago)I cannot rate Hilton King and Locke highly enough, particularly Jenny Hall (Head of Lettings). From my first contact with Jenny, she has gone above and beyond to find a wonderful home for my wife and I to rent. Unlike many of the other estate agents I had spent weeks trying to contact to arrange viewings, Jenny got back to me almost immediately and booked me into to see two properties at short notice – the first of which we loved and ultimately rented. This was particularly helpful because my wife and I had only a short amount of time to find a property to rent and were returning from having lived overseas for two years. Jenny was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and transparent which was also very reassuring for me as a tenet. Once we moved into the property, Jenny and the entire Hilton Locke and King team have been fantastic in resolving a few teething problems which are an inevitable part of renting any property. Not only did Jenny work tirelessly to coordinate between us and the landlord but she also intervened with several third parties to help get our issue resolved. The issues were dealt with promptly and with great sensitivity and care. More than that, Jenny was incredibly personable with my wife, to the extent that she went as far as to buy my wife flowers – something which was incredibly appreciated as we waited for an issue to be resolved. I really cannot rate Hilton Locke and King highly enough. Having previously had some bad experiences renting, I never thought that I would be writing such a positive review for an estate agent. If you are looking for a property to rent in and around the Langley area as we were, however, Hilton Locke and King come strongly recommended.

We were sold promises of multiple offers, told to decrease our price as a way to get our original asking price via multiple offers which we were hesitant to do but we did anyway, trusting them like they said. Viewings were rushed, agents arrived late. We did everything advised but they couldn't deliver despite so much of the viewing feedback being so positive about the house. We had to chase to get detailed feedback, chase to confirm viewings, communication was poor, email inboxes were always full so emails sent weren't going through. We had numerous viewings and interest in the house which is in fantastic condition but they somehow couldn't close on it. We have since gone with another agent and wouldn't recommend Tuffin and Wren. The experience was highly stressful overall.

16th Nov 2018 (5 years ago)I had a great experience with Victorstone in Shoreditch. My flat was empty with another agent for weeks. I then instructed Victorstone and they rented my flat to 4 professionals within a couple of days. Really impressed with their conduct.

17th Jul 2024 (9 weeks ago)I signed up with Esquire had to pull and and sell privately, they were committing fraud, was getting money from potential customers as a backhander (£20,000) to secure them the sale and take the property off the market. I did report them to the Ombusman. This was my first time ever experiencing anything like this. So my trust in estate agents is not good.

14th Jul 2015 (9 years ago)Just observing my workmate's utter horror story with this company unfolding now. He's lived in a property managed by them that has no working toilet, washing machine or cooker since he moved in 3 months ago. A workman was sent to fix the gas boiler who wasn't a Gas Safe registered plumber. It broke down again on a number of occasions. Dangerous wires protruding from a burnt out socket were simply taped up with black tape. Communication has been negligible and threats of debt collection were made when it was suggested rent was withheld until problems were fixed. A diabolical service that borders on criminal negligence. UPDATE. It's now months later and after none of the problems with the property were dealt with and the owner said "It's probably best for everyone that the tenants leave the house", Ferrari Dewe are now pursuing the tenants to the tune of £3000. Utterly disgusting company.

Not only did they find the perfect family to buy our home of 27 years but they were there 24/7 to solve any problems that arose during this stressful process. Any call at any time was not a problem, they were there, not just on the phone but personal presence, which was amazing..again!.
