Fully recommend the team at Acorn in Forest Hill, you’ll be in very safe hands
1st Feb 2024 (16 weeks ago)The agent harasses me! My neighbor used this agency to sell his property. According to him, the experience of selling his property through this agency has been a complete nightmare. Despite the promises made by the agency regarding a 28-day completion and a cash buyer, my neighbor has faced continuous delays. The seller said the highly recommended cash buyer persistently renegotiates the price even after three months, citing various excuses. Additionally, I have experienced harassment from Sam Ford, the agency's director. He warned me not to knock on my neighbor's door. Despite my reluctance to answer his calls, he persists in writing email warning me not to contact my neighbor and attempting to provoke my relationship with my neighbor. He had previously shared my number with his business partner without my permission, resulting in that person emailing me at midnight and making multiple late evening calls. I have reported Sam Ford to prevent further harassment. It is crucial for Mr. Ford to understand who him is and where he is. This is a free country, and attempting to restrict my freedom of movement through email is unacceptable. Secondly, if property owners or tenants feel uncomfortable, they should report such matters themselves. Mr. Ford has no contractual relationship with them at this time. Therefore, the motivation behind Sam harassing me remains unclear

In such an important and complicated process as selling a house I really appreciated how good they were at communicating with me and how approachable they were. And I must say a special thank you to Shannon, who was absolutely integral to making things happen and keeping a vital channel of communication open between me and the buyers. Without her intervention we could have been thousands of pounds worse off and the sale would have taken much longer. Many thanks to everyone at Pedder, Shannon, Dan, Basak, everyone I had contact with, were truly excellent. Thank you so much for helping me to sell my first home!! I wish you all the very best.

27th Apr 2024 (23 days ago)I have been chasing them to arrange viewing on a property to rent. Sent all our details. Called a few times but no one calling back despite the assurance from an adviser at their office. Not even a minimum standard of customer service let alone it be any good. First impression, Not a good one. I hope that they will improve on it. Good that I am not in desperate situation to move the house. For the service I have received so far, I could give them a broken star but not a star but the problem is that I have to choose at least one star to be able to post my review

26th Apr 2024 (24 days ago)This was my husband and I's first experience looking for property in the UK. The agency has been so communicative, accessible, kind and prompt to respond. I have been in contact with a lovely women in their office and a different man met me at the property, gave me the keys and offered to walk me through the unit and he answered all of my questions. We worked with Sam Hawkins and he was fantastic from start to finish. He was professional but also really friendly, easy to talk to and I didn't feel rushed or pressured at all which I find to be so rare. Sam was honest and knowledgeable regarding all parts of the unit and property, and he answered all of my million questions. Thank you!

Although they initially did my valuation i went with Annother estate agent which a friend had recommended which was a bad decision. However James kept in touch,once out of contract I moved over to Oaks. Michael and sol came to view the house and asked questions. Viewings started relatively quickly and frequently. I received an offer not too long after. Michael held my solicitors to task. He frequently emailed them and kept me constantly updated.The whole process moved swiftly without any issues. I would recommend oaks ,it was been a fantastic stress free experience selling my house with them All in the month of my birthday ! Thankyou Michael and the team.

When all other elements of my selling/buying experience were incredibly painful and longwinded, Simon was steadfastly helpful, patient and on-the-ball. They were always on hand to help, professional, very proactive and a pleasure to deal with. They are by far the best estate agents around and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

27th Mar 2024 (8 weeks ago)I did appoint JBrown to sell my property in Bromley and I was very happy at the beginning about the way they approached me and how they worked to get the property on the market quickly. Soon after they changed quite a lot in terms of communication, Zara used to reply randomly ( basically when she got a chance ) whilst Komal (owner)never replied to my emails.( she should learn how to deal with people). Despite that was a clear sight of a lack of professionalism, I left things going ahead smoothly. Zara kept me informed about the buyer's interest in seeing the property and I arranged access all the time. Then I had to chase her to receive feedback from customers, she never made them aware of the outcome or sending any REPORT. Even though I left them to carry on their job. They eventually got 2 offers and let me know to appoint a solicitor which I did. Both times buyers pulled out and she never contacted me to let me know, on the contrary, I had to call to find out what happened. I am still not sure if she really received any offers because I never received proof of that. The 12-week agreement came to an end and I previously let them know by email that I would not renew the mandate( no response at all as usual). Finally, I chased them again to remove my property from the market but they either removed it or replied to my emails. After 2 weeks of waiting for them I decided to contact Rightmove, and Zoopla etc explain the matter and they removed the property immediately. This morning magically I received an email From Zara saying that my property has now been removed! You are a team of liars, hopefully, people will be away from such an unprofessional “Estate Agency”.. I lost time but you lost quite a lot of money. 25th Mar 2024 (8 weeks ago)Lived in a flat provided by the agency for almost 2 years. The state of the flat when I moved in wasn’t great and everything broke. Boiler broke several times, once for 3 weeks over the winter and the agency didn’t seem to mind it too much and they “generously” let £50 off my rent. All my heaters broke as well and had to be changed. The agency couldn’t tell me, who my electricity provider was when I was trying to change providers and the actual electricity meter was registered under the wrong address so it was impossible to change it. Before moving out they asked me to provide the flat for a 4 hour hours long viewing sessions, which I agreed to and the girl who was carrying out the viewings locked herself into the bathroom, disturbing my expensive theatre experience. Luckily an emergency locksmith got her out leaving a mess. Whenever anything broke, the handymen would leave a mess and I got to clean. When moving out, the procedure the estate agency has was extremely stressful, they ended up deducting for cleaning after the flat was professionally cleaned. They ended up deducting for minor damages for things that were already used and not in great condition, when I moved in. I would stay away from this company in the future.
