25th Jul 2024 (6 weeks ago)I recently went through a long process with Fraser Wood, and overall, my experience was positive. They were patient with me throughout, taking the time to understand my needs and ensuring I found a decent property that met my requirements. During the house visit appointment, they were friendly and professional, which made the experience much more pleasant. However, it did seem at times that the vendor had more control over them, which was a bit frustrating. Despite this, Fraser Wood managed to handle the situation well, balancing professionalism with the needs of their clients. Overall, I appreciate their effort and patience, and I would recommend Fraser Wood for their friendly and professional service.

15th Aug 2024 (24 days ago)Trust pilot reviews says it all I’m afraid. Wish I had checked beforehand. We cancelled our remortgage process after being told our home was £30k less than (confidentially) advised. I am aware this happens, but I don’t know why it was valued so high. I feel like that was to get us on board. On top of that, you have to constantly chase for updates otherwise you won’t hear anything. £600+ lost, but could have been worse.

They answered all the questions I had (and there were a lot of them). A special thanks in particular to Liam and Heidi who were helpful and reassuring when there were delays with solicitors. Love my new house!

There seems to be a biased opinion and didn't support tenants for genuine tenancy issues. 9th Aug 2024 (30 days ago)AVOID! I have attempted to rent a property through this company and it has been a very misleading and secretive process. In the process of 3 days I viewed, applied, paid and accepted a property subject to checks. During this process I have been encouraged to apply as quickly as possible and also transfer money, at no point was it advised to me that the deposit was non refundable. The day after the money was paid they withdrew the offer and said I would not get a refund, all due to a mistake in my application form. I have requested the refund and have had policy quoted to me. The level of unprofessional behaviour is appaling with the agents advising that the owner and landlord of the property was fussy, difficult and a nightmare to deal with as they don't accept the applicants that have been put forwards and always reject people. If you are in the process of letting a property in tipton with this company I would air caution!
18th Mar 2024 (25 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

5th Jul 2024 (9 weeks ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!
