Each member of the team that I dealt with was helpful and professional and kept me in the loop at all times, despite some challenging situations. Particularly want to mention Kornelija and Suzy from the sales team and Sophie and Adrian from the rental team. Recommend to anyone planning on selling or renting out their property

The team were professional, approachable and kept us updated throughout the whole process. Communication was clear and they were always willing to help if we had questions. Buying a house can be complicated, but they helped make it a smooth and straightforward experience. We would happily recommend them.

22nd Jan 2026 (10 weeks ago)The whole team at Arkwright’s in Saffron Walden have been a joy to work with. From initial contact, to the sales details - including a very inventive video, made on the only rainy day for weeks and weeks with a ‘Singing in the rain’ sound track! l had several viewings in the first week and an agreed sale within around 2 weeks ( after having been with another agent for 4 months with no viewings at all) The whole process has been easy, efficient, profession, respectful and friendly. I would highly recommend them and especially if you have a slightly quirky property. Thanks to all.

He was brilliant, keeping me up to date throughout and arranging extra viewings as, and when, required. Always replied to my many enquiries very promptly. Helped to complete on a tight 8 week timeline, pre Christmas, due to seller requirements. Very happy to be in my first home for Christmas, can’t thank and recommend Mark and the team at Compass Elevation enough!

8th Mar 2026 (27 days ago)When I moved in originally I gave a 5* review. Once they had my money they stopped communicating, wouldn’t do the things they said they would, passed blame around and never took accountability, did not follow their own policies when it came to repairs. It got to the point where we had to threaten legal action if they did not get the repairs done. Our landlord failed to provide enough keys and so we were told we had to pay to make copies ourselves. We had many issues with the property and Tucker Gardner was no help. They lied to us prior to signing the lease and went back on promises they had made. It has been over a month since we moved out and we still have not received our deposit. Communication is terrible at Tucker Gardner. I am truly disappointed that what started out as a great relationship quickly turned sour. Our landlord also had his own struggles with them not providing the services he was paying for. Don’t work with TG Lettings, they’re dishonest and they don’t care once they have your money.

They were very good at dealing with all the various parties involved - and keeping us in the loop. All the staff I dealt with were polite, efficient and knowledgable.

Even though we were unable to sell with Kevin Henry due to location, Nicole was the only agent to help us and support us during the difficult task of finding a home. And she found us our perfect home. A real credit to the company that goes above and beyond to help her client’s.

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

William was our agent but the whole team were superb in getting things sorted, even when our buyer fell through at the last moment. No hidden fees, no hooks, just honest and personalised service. From the very beginning, Gary was incredibly attentive and supportive during the offer stage, making the process feel smooth and straightforward. As things progressed, Alan was equally excellent in managing the sales progression. He kept everything moving, communicated clearly throughout, and was always on hand to help. Both Gary and Alan were a pleasure to work with — genuine, professional, responsive, and extremely helpful at every stage. We’re very grateful for their support and would highly recommend them to anyone buying or selling a property in the area!

Communication was excellent: fast responses via WhatsApp, email, and phone kept us fully updated throughout. The listing was superb, with high-quality photography, drone shots, and a beautifully edited video walk-through, plus strong exposure across socials. They really showcased our challenging property, which had previously been difficult to sell. The team was professional, attentive, and genuinely motivated to help, listening to our feedback and keeping everything on track. Huge thanks to Kerry for pushing at the right times, Oliver for creating a superb listing, and Katie for coordinating all parties so the exchange and completion ran smoothly. We would highly recommend them if you are looking for a modern hybrid and personal approach to selling your property.

We spoke regularly to Mike Bidwell who was our main contact and he was very proactive in trying to move the purchase along. Mike also went out of his way to resolve an issue after we'd moved into the property, which we are very thankful for.
