17th Jul 2024 (8 weeks ago)Valuation and marketing appear to be on a par with other local agents, however communication was poor. There were significant delays with the sale of my property, not necessarily due to the agent, but it did place my ongoing purchase in jeopardy. I will say that my sale was transferred to a different branch who dealt with the process much more efficiently and was key in ensuring the sale was completed.

5th Sep 2023 (1 year ago)Amazingly bad service We rented a complete owned property for just over 2 years. In that time we had about 5 property managers. This should say all you need to know. Each one not knowing what had gone on before. Given the fact a week before we thought we were moving in we had to chase them to find out nothing had moved forward and they were waiting on us to send documentation (we were not told). Throughout the 2 years they were never really there to help you. After we have left they have tried to keep around 75% of our deposit which is absolutely insane. Missing furniture that never existed in the first place, the most expensive cleaning quote imaginable and £50 to remove a single chair. These are some of the excuses on the quote. Try and avoid complete properties when possible!!
5th Jul 2024 (9 weeks ago)Having worked with multiple estate agents to get my flat sold, I was very happy with B Simmons in Langley. Rather than convince me that I should be selling at a lower price after months of no interest or updates (like other estate agents) B Simmons gained interest within the first 1-2 weeks of my flat being listed (thanks to Ben Wealands who understood the value and quality of our property and that the economic timing was simply bad previously with new mortgage fluctuations). Once we received interest, Emily Roy really helped stick to a reasonable sale price despite receiving some insulting haggling/ counter offers which was really appreciated. She picked up the phone whenever I called (Or Debbie and Ben would answer if she was out of office) and answered any questions I had. If unsure she would always advise me on how to find out. Furthermore the solicitors B Simmons recommended to us were very quick and efficient. We had been informed by several solicitors that it can take up to 6 months for a flat completion to go through - we had this happen within about 2-3 months!

We were first time buyers and are hugely appreciative of the honesty and guidance Paul gave us during the offer process, unlike many SW London agents! After our offer was accepted the 5 star service continued all the way through to completion where Paul was very helpful, professional and responsive in dealing with various matters. This resulted in a very smooth exchange/completion. We cannot thank Paul and Moveli enough!

18th Mar 2024 (25 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
23rd Aug 2024 (16 days ago)R Whitley & Co were the agents for the sellers of the house we bought. They are an awesome agency. We were looking in the area they work in so we crossed paths more than once during our house search. a shout out to mary-joy who was accommodating and answered all our queries and followed up on things for us when we were most picky, and a special thank you from the heart to tony. tony was following up with our solicitor to make sure things are done on time and called to check up on things and I think if it wasn't for him things would have stalled. he is an outstanding agent who came after we moved to show me things around the house and even tought me how to use the electric shower and opened the water valves for us. We are truly so grateful and thankful. a very personal approach that makes this agency truly amazing. We can't thank them enough for all they did.

12th Jul 2024 (8 weeks ago)I don't know where to start!!! James did what I thought was impossible! He moved my in laws to a new home - but it took 2 years! With a probate on both sides and multiple delays due to ill health in the family, lease extensions and questions upon questions they finally moved! James is one of the most patient people I know and has provided support to my in laws over and above what he needed to. He gave them the confidence to move from a home they were in for over 35 years. His constant communication always put them at ease and provided assurance when they needed it the most. They needed to be in a bungalow close to family and that's exactly where they are now and are extremely happy. Thanks to James for make the impossible possible!
