6th Aug 2024 (5 weeks ago)Our experience with this estate agency has been extremely disappointing. They proposed a property to us that had significant restrictions, which they failed to disclose. We only discovered these issues six months later through our solicitors. The agency’s customer service is appalling. Every time I called, I was told the manager was on another call and would return my call, which never happened. Their communication is minimal, with infrequent email replies merely stating that matters are being “chased.” We are now more than six months into the process with no clear timeline, no information about potential chains, and no idea what is happening. Avoid this agency at all costs!
17th Jul 2024 (8 weeks ago)Valuation and marketing appear to be on a par with other local agents, however communication was poor. There were significant delays with the sale of my property, not necessarily due to the agent, but it did place my ongoing purchase in jeopardy. I will say that my sale was transferred to a different branch who dealt with the process much more efficiently and was key in ensuring the sale was completed.

Both Kevin and Nicola had excellent knowledge of the property market within the area which made selling our house as streamlined as the process could be. The whole team were exceptional and we cannot thank them enough for making our dream move to the countryside possible. A special thanks also to Jo and Wendy who were pivotal in ensuring the communication was smooth throughout the process.

She is always friendly and efficient and uses her experience to give great advice and support on all aspects of the letting process.

We were looking in the area they work in so we crossed paths more than once during our house search. a shout out to mary-joy who was accommodating and answered all our queries and followed up on things for us when we were most picky, and a special thank you from the heart to tony. tony was following up with our solicitor to make sure things are done on time and called to check up on things and I think if it wasn't for him things would have stalled. he is an outstanding agent who came after we moved to show me things around the house and even tought me how to use the electric shower and opened the water valves for us. We are truly so grateful and thankful. a very personal approach that makes this agency truly amazing. We can't thank them enough for all they did.

They gave me a higher valuation than the other agents, but provided examples and logic on why it was correct and we actually got more than their estimate after our first viewings. The thing that has made them stand out (apart from getting me more money) was the communication. They use WhatsApp and calls which suits me better than just email and calls and are really responsive to all my questions. My sale so far is going very smoothly and I am getting regular proactive updates from their sales progressor which is much better than my past experience.
12th Jul 2024 (8 weeks ago)I don't know where to start!!! James did what I thought was impossible! He moved my in laws to a new home - but it took 2 years! With a probate on both sides and multiple delays due to ill health in the family, lease extensions and questions upon questions they finally moved! James is one of the most patient people I know and has provided support to my in laws over and above what he needed to. He gave them the confidence to move from a home they were in for over 35 years. His constant communication always put them at ease and provided assurance when they needed it the most. They needed to be in a bungalow close to family and that's exactly where they are now and are extremely happy. Thanks to James for make the impossible possible!

I never contacted them to sell or rent my property! It is impossible to talk to anyone who will take action.

One Kings Court, 153/155 High Street, Watford, Hertfordshire, WD17 2ER(86 reviews)20th Aug 2024 (19 days ago)Rolston's team have been great selling my first home and I would recommend them to anyone, including Shared Ownership sellers (you would be surprised at the level of incompetence with Shared Ownership from other estate agents I shall not name). In a nutshell - excellent marketing, great transparency and communication from the beginning, nice people. I had support primarily from Scott during the sale and Stephen during the marketing phase - selling shared ownership in a chain isn't easy but they made a stressful and otherwise painful process feel as easy as can be! Scott had excellent communication and is a genuinely great person. I haven't a single criticism. Only note for improvement - they are primarily a phone company, which just isn't my style. Personal preference but would've appreciated emails instead of phone calls; they didn't adapt to my preference. Overall the whole experience was such a breath of fresh air after my first attempt at selling shared ownership with a (cheaper) national well-known company which was so bad, I had to beg their regional director to terminate my contract. Do not doubt it and go for a cheaper agency - you get what you pay for, as I painfully learned... Highly recommend Rolston's. Peace of mind and a successful sale enabling me to move on with my life = priceless.
