23rd Aug 2024 (30 days ago)I stayed in a flat for 4 years and never missed a payment. I engaged a professional cleaner to do the end-of-tenancy cleaning. It was apparently not to HBD's standards and they wanted to charge me £400 for cleaning. I negotiated down to £250 on the basis they would return my deposit immediately. It took 3 weeks of chasing to get my money back. For these reasons, I gave them 3/5. Other thank this, they were OK.
8th Aug 2024 (6 weeks ago)I have just let my flat with Hotblack Desiato. Diriye my agent, quickly found several potential tenants, allowing me to promptly secure one who met all my criteria. All aspects of the letting process were handled efficiently and his communication was seamless. I recommend their service. James Williams 8/8/2024

10th Feb 2022 (2 years ago)Poor service - initial queries were ignored and and I was stood up once I’d finally arranged a viewing, as the agent hadn’t bothered to let me know that the let to the property was already agreed. Do not waste your time on them.
10th Nov 2021 (2 years ago)Terrible communication, we waited over a year for a repair, another time a random person was sent and not a professional to deal with infestation, or they ordered a new oven without even checking the size so when it arrived it wouldn't fit.. I'm so glad the landlord finally decided to cancel the contract with them.
26th Aug 2024 (27 days ago)Absolute garbage, avoid at all cost. Signed up for full management of our flat: bad communication, rent late quite often (blamed tenants), had to chase Michael all the time... Lied when we caught them renting to a different tenant (without notifying us), failed to notify tenants that we wanted to terminate the contract, stopped replying to all communication after that and carry on taking the rent. Reported to PRS but didn't do much even after winning our claim. Situation today: 6 months without rent, no ideas who lives in our flat, no communication.. lawyers on the case, waiting for court day trying to get our flat back..
19th Mar 2022 (2 years ago)Whilst the actual sale cannot be completed until Probate is granted, Keatons explained this to buyers who are prepared to wait a reasonable time. They are polite and easy to talk to and their knowledge of the area the property is in is exceptional. This guided the price the property was marketed at and led to a reasonable offer which I accepted. Top notch people to deal with which is reassuring especially as I live many mils from the property!

22nd Dec 2021 (2 years ago)I cannot say enough about V&H Homes and specifically Maria at the Ashtead Branch. While they are a smaller independent agent, they will absolutely give you the personalized service that an independent can provide. Give those big estate agents in Surrey a miss, take your business to V&H. The communication throughout the process was exemplary, the dedication to getting the sale was second to none. We had tried to sell previously with the usual suspects in Surrey and none of them could get the sale and it seemed hopeless, V&H got it done in 10 days! There were many times in our sale where things got rocky and Maria went well over and above day in and day out to ensure that everything went through. I truly believe that if we had went with another big establishment high street agent that our sale would not have happened. While Maria was absolutely amazing, we also had interactions with the other associates at Ashtead V&H Homes. When Maria was out of office our file was well looked after, the service didn’t slip at all which is very rare in a sales situation. As I said at the beginning of this review, I really can’t say enough about Maria and V&H. These days reviews are either 5* or 1* and it’s getting more and more difficult to sift through them to make a decision. This is 100% a genuine 5* review. Were there issues in the sales process, of course there were, we were selling a house. But it wasn’t about the issues, it was about how they were handled, the speed at which they were handled, and the fact that when something came up we were never left to worry, V&H were always just a phone call or e-mail away. Thank you so much Maria and V&H Homes for the personalized service and all the time and effort that you spent on our file. We absolutely owe our sale and the fact that we are snugly in our new home all to you! Very best regards, Danny

This agency do not think or care about us tenants whatsoever,We have letted 2 houses from them so far, on the last house we agreed that it would be unfurnished and have working fridge and washing machine.None of that was true.Both houses we agreed to the agency managing however the landlords seem to take management and the agency do not do anything at all. We have left both houses now and they do not help recover your deposit at all even though when returning the keys there was no problems.They give up managing but speak on the landlords side.The first property, we trusted the agents about the landlord but he kept the whole deposit and is refusing contact when we disputed (No details of reductions).Last Property, similar thing happened, False advertising (Landlord took half the garden he shows and house is not in the state shown) and horrible health and safety conditions for me and my children.He also lives in your loft with access to your home).Landlord took management and and kept majority of the deposit as rent arrears as we left the property on the date of the contract expiration.Mind you we paid for all of the property repairs and the landlord gave us 3 weeks notice(from expiration)for rent increase,not allowing us to give our 1 month notice(His claim for deduction).We left on the 13th of August and the landlord is deducting £1400 deposit for his mistake as 19 days rent.Not even including refunding us for all the emergency repairs.He also sent part of the deposit without allowing us to dispute. Suddenly the agency are again mediating despite 'giving up' management. The first property was 7 Buford Close The last property is 167 Redbridge Lane East.

Leanna took over whilst Oliver was away, she was very attentive and provided a great service in the lead up to getting our keys! I am so glad we went with Riverhomes over the other agenices that were representing the property!

She kept on communicating with us the whole time. Everything was managed and all the paperwork was carried out very quickly as well. I love the apartment I moved in, Thank you very much for all your support and effort. We are enjoying our new residence.

Our experience couldn’t have been more different; Stuart actually cared about our sale and knew the market and the business inside out. He was there at every step of the way through a fairly complicated sale. He gave excellent advice on everything, was quick to respond to any questions and was there for us whenever needed. We would not hesitate to recommend Story of Home, to anyone.

He sold our house in less than 2 weeks with other properties in the area marketed for more than 6 months or more. I could buy and sell through Jack at any opportunity, that is how easy it is to talk to him. He goes beyond office hours and answer all my questions regarding the time of the day.

More people need to use them. The service they give is another level. The experience I had selling with other estate agents was not as good . Working with LB was fantastic!!!!! Honestly. I wish I had faith much sooner and just stuck with these guys from the get go! Choose LBR. You won’t be disappointed. They work so hard and give such a personable experience. Thank you LBR for all your support.
