We recently purchased a property through Hamptons Caterham, and I cannot speak highly enough of the service we received, especially from Carrie. From the very start, she was a pleasure to deal with—professional yet real, striking that perfect balance of being approachable without trying too hard, which is something we really appreciated. Throughout the process, Carrie was always incredibly responsive, replying to emails on the same day and making an effort to call back promptly if she was unavailable. She truly went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly for us, making the whole buying experience remarkably simple and stress-free. What stood out most was that our conversations felt genuine. I wasn’t just dealing with an estate agent—Carrie’s approach felt much more personal, which made the entire experience so much more comfortable and enjoyable. Her professionalism, combined with a real personal touch, is what set Hamptons apart for us. Professional, communicative and went above and beyond to keep things moving. Particular shoutout to Callum, who was always tuned in and played an enormous role in driving communication and mediating any issues that arose. If we ever move again, we are definitely picking Hamptons as our agents!
26th Oct 2024 (10 days ago)When we began thinking about selling our house, we wanted a more independent estate agent which wasn't part of a major chain. Paul Graham seemed to fit the bill, and as soon as Lisa came to do our valuation, we knew we were dealing with a very knowledgeable and professional team, who soon knew us all by name and gave us great service. Our sales journey was far from smooth, but Lisa Greg and Jacqui kept us informed throughout, and made us feel very supported. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the whole team at the Wallington office, and wish them continued success, they deserve it!
15th Sep 2024 (7 weeks ago)I would not recommend Stapleton Long and would give zero stars. We rented from them for four years and finally moved out due to ongoing disrepair. Despite a persistent leak and flaking paint in one of the bedrooms, the landlords continued to band-aid the issue and, upon pushing for it to be properly addressed, they claimed the landlords had "spent a lot of money on the property and are reluctant to spend more." We lived with unsightly walls, damp from the leak and mould and unresolved problems for almost the entire tenancy. We were advised that our landlords owned multiple properties in the surrounding streets and they ‘kept our rent lower, because they were aware of some issues. Their other properties are rented for more.” This made it clear that Stapleton Long prioritises landlords' interests over tenants' and the landlords refused to fix these fundamental issues. After all the mental stress, anxiety, and even intimidation tactics (stating that, ‘as a gesture of good will, if we were unhappy, we could give 30 days notice to vacate’, which was clearly in their best interest, rather than ours), we had no choice but to leave. It's telling that after all this, they are now advertising the property as ‘recently refurbished’ for £400 per month more than we were paying. Avoid this estate agent if you value your peace of mind and well-being.

Michael and Stephanie offer a friendly and professional service. Their valuations are fair and they went above and beyond to support us through the process. I highly recommend them!
26th Sep 2024 (6 weeks ago)Took a while to sell my property but it was worth it in the end as I would not be in this particular wonderful home if it had sold earlier so it was meant to be. Was very well supported during the journey. Only reason not 5 stars, is because I felt pressurised in favour of my buyer's wishes when things got difficult regarding a moving date.
1st Jul 2024 (18 weeks ago)I was a long-term tenant in a property managed by Maguire Baylis and got to know the team at Shortlands. They’re very friendly, responsive and professional. I recently purchased the flat I had been renting and they were very helpful throughout the sale process too. I would definitely use Maguire Baylis again if I decide to rent out or sell my flat in future. They are trustworthy and genuine. Five stars from me!

5th Jul 2024 (18 weeks ago)We bought our house through Reeds Rains Catford earlier this year. I would not recommend them to anyone. Being rude and pushy to anyone during this process shouldn't be ok, whether it's the buyer/seller/other estate agents involved or solicitors. The whole experience of buying through Reeds Rains was horrible, from the start to finish. If it wasn't for the fact we wanted the house so much we would have walked away based on our experience with this agency.
21st Sep 2024 (6 weeks ago)You might find many positive reviews from sellers, but I strongly advise first-time buyers to steer clear of this agency. When I viewed the property, I was assured it was in excellent condition, with the exception of the boiler being a bit old. However, as recommended to me, I still arranged for a independent survey. Due to an unexpected emergency, the survey was delayed by a week. This delay wouldn’t have affected the sale since the completion date was still a month away. Despite this, the agency contacted me, pressuring me to cancel the survey because the seller was growing impatient (a tactic that, in hindsight, seems manipulative). Unfortunately, I felt I had little choice, as the house I was renting was soon to be sold. It turned out that the house suffered from severe mould and damp issues - an information that was withhold from me during the viewing and that would have been revealed in the survey. Fixing these problems has already cost me several thousand pounds. I strongly discourage first-time buyers, especially my NHS colleagues who need to buy in this area for work, from using this agency. They simply cannot be trusted.

23rd Apr 2024 (6 mo. ago)During my recent search for a new flat, Aiicja has been absolutely helpful, and of great assistance, from day one, in every property she has organized a viewing for me. Her attention to detail and efficiency on organizing the viewings, as well as her professionalism and diligence on making sure only suitable properties would be offered to me, made this search much smoother and less time consuming. Although I've managed to come to terms with my current Landlord and ended by renewing lease on my current flat, I appreciate her time and availability during the past weeks and would not hesitate on recommending her services to any friends who need to rent a new flat in London. It was not the easiest of transactions but at all times Stuart was on hand to answer any questions or negotiate with the sellers on varying points, under sometimes difficult circumstances. It was a great team effort to achieve the result we all wanted, buyer, seller and agent!

They marketed the property very well, took great photographs (even swept up the back yard!) and got a lot of viewings booked in on the opening weekend. More than anything they communicated with us well, replying to e-mails at all hours, and really pushed the solicitors on both sides to get the sale completed quickly. I would happily recommend them to anybody in the area.
11th Oct 2024 (25 days ago)Liam and his team have been great with my sale. Out of all the estate agents I reviewed he was the most personable and honest. My sale has been difficult with various sales falling through for different reasons but Liam has managed to secure a buyer quickly without applying pressure on me to drop my price each time. I also had to pull out of a chain sale twice, and the first time Rob was amazing at keeping me calm and buying me time to decide what I wanted to do. Great people skills. The sales progression team agent Sarah has been amazing. I’m now at the stage where exchange has happened and it’s a few days from completion and I’m very grateful for their help. I don’t think I could have done this without her and Liam’s support and chasing. Even with our new purchase Liam responded instantly and helped with making sure we could prove our sale had gone through. Something which he didn’t have to do as quickly as he did as it doesn’t benefit him. Thank you again I would use Laurels again!
29th Aug 2024 (10 weeks ago)We’ve had a brilliant experience with Oaks in Addiscombe. From first meeting Yousef when our house was valued through to dealing with Oscar managing our viewings to Dane completing all the activities required after we accepted an offer. It only took 6 weeks to get a good offer on our house, which we were really pleased with. One of the things I thought Oaks were very good at was communication - we were always kept updated with what was happening, did not need to chase for updates and I love the way they set up a WhatsApp group with me - working full time it’s not always easy to find the time to ring the Estate Agent or take a call from them so this meant we had a second, flexible method of communication. Really simple but incredibly effective. Oaks also have a panel of people they can recommend to you, for example solicitors, surveyors etc. Oaks made the whole process so easy. I would definitely recommend them.

The journey of buying and moving home could have been the most stressful process, but with Ismail and Zoe by my side, I was kept smiling all the way through! Ismail’s knowledge and professionalism combined with Zoe’s tenacity and understanding make them a phenomenal team, which I feel very privileged to have had them push my sale and purchase through. My children and I are genuinely grateful for how they took care of us from chasing solicitors, agents, always at the end of phone meant we can now create memories in our forever home. Thank you both so much.

20th May 2024 (24 weeks ago)BP Auctions have been anything BUT easy to work with. We’ve been chasing for updates on the sale of our property for weeks with no response. Every time we manage to speak to someone on the phone, we’re promised a call back that never happens. No one responds via email, and the whole process has been painfully slow from start to finish.

(113 reviews)27th Aug 2024 (10 weeks ago)I have never left a negative review in my life but for this I have to.. AVOID RENTING WITH FOXTONS AT ALL COSTS. I have been renting a property in Brixton for the past year and reported mould issues 4 months ago (20th May 2024) and to this day (27/08/2024) nothing has been done to rectify it. We have been back and fourth with property management (even crying down the phone) and they are still not letting us move out until we finish the tenancy length (2 year tenancy agreement). The flat is a basement flat and the bathroom doesn't have a window or an extractor fan which we informed foxtons was illegal to which they breezed over and OF COURSE haven't done anything about. We are now living in mould and seeking legal action to try and get out of our tenancy as Foxtons have told us on 3 occasions we have to find someone to replace it if we want to go. As you can see from the photos nobody should be living in these conditions. Every time we ring, our account manager is 'in a meeting' they take days/weeks to respond to a question. In regards to getting something fixed..we are yet to have one issue in our flat/tenancy fixed. If I could leave 0 stars, I would.
