15th Feb 2022 (2 years ago)Very bad experience: They could not provide me a single suggestion in almost one month despite the fact that I was ready to pay up to £1250. Although, they put me under great stress and made me believe that I can’t get any house below £1200 and can’t get less than 2 bedroom for family with a baby. It is because of them I did not search for less than 2 bedroom property for a long, assuming I can’t get that, which was incorrect. Every time, I called them they said it is not in their area and they will send my details to other office. Once, I spent around 4-5 hours to fill a form to apply for a property whose result they never shared with me. I expressed my interest to view many properties but mostly I did not get a response because they already had many applications for that property. Feedback for the agent to improve: 1.First, be transparent and responsive to the customers. If there are many applications for some property then convey that to the customers instead of keeping quite. Reply each email/call. 2.You have multiple offices in Oxford and you have advantage so use that to help the customers and not for torturing them. There is no communication (at least customer oriented) between your different branches. Your people just pass responsibility to other branches. For example, I called several times to show interest in some property then I was told that that property is not in their area. First, they should help the customers instead of passing on the things. Secondly, give the customer options available with you (customer might get interested in property available with you) instead of getting rid of them.

After rent ends, they had a list of the different reasons for us to pay and after eight months and several time of reminders, we still didn’t receive the rest of the deposit. In a word, if you choose them, prepare to give away all your deposit. ??????????????????????????????????????

Marketing was excellent and the house sold very quickly. Nothing was too much trouble for them, especially Charlie who regularly kept in touch with updates as the sale proceeded. Charlie was 'our rock' throughout; nothing was too much trouble for him, reassuring and supporting us at every stage. We would highly recommend the team and give 10 stars (if it were possible!)

The depth of James Cridland's experience and knowledge is rare and exceptional and we felt in the safest of hands throughout. His maxim that there is always a solution meant that he navigated every obstacle that presented itself with great intelligence and care. He sees the whole picture and can and will talk with the utmost skill and diplomacy to any party involved to help facilitate the process. We have been amazed at the lengths he and his team have gone to on our behalf and we think we would have fallen at many posts without this level of unremitting dedication. All this with great kindness, humour, consistent communication and a cheerful "worry not" at the most stressful moments. Being so well established, Cridland & Co. also have wonderful local contacts, including removals companies and are happy to share these to help make life easier. The spot-on pricing and marketing of our house resulted in genuine viewings and offers, all handled with enormous skill and in such a way that created the least disruption for us. We are truly indebted to James, Harriet, Amanda, Liz and Eden. Thank you all and we will come straight back to you if we ever move again!

We met Emily at the property, she was professional and offered really great tips, on the potential of the property etc. She was straight to the point on what the seller wanted, which put us in the best position. She rang the day after the viewing and we put our offer on the property! Emily was our go to, she was thorough and constantly requesting updates from us, the seller and the lawyers. The whole process will be done by early Jan, I want to say Emily being on the ball has really ensured for us to get through the interim period quicker than prev estate agents we have dealt with. Emily has been a pleasure to deal with, always has a smile, friendly and great communication! I couldn’t have had, a more positive experience and she is a credit to Beals. She went above and beyond throughout our home purchase journey, keeping us informed every step of the way. Her prompt responses to emails and calls truly made the process as stress free as possible, even with all the little hiccups on the way (Bloody Solicitors!) Highly recommend White Lion for anyone buying or selling a property.- 11th Feb 2022 (2 years ago)The flat we are renting is riddled with black mould and damp and Breckon have taken over a year to take action, incredibly slow service and they are now refusing to help us. Completely incompetent

We were told that a decision on our offer would be made by the end of the week, and indeed it was accepted by then. Jeremy was really very good: helpful, honest, reassuring, knowledgeable and went the extra mile to be of assistance.

25th Apr 2024 (25 days ago)We just sold our house through Thomas Merrifield in Wallingford and we can't speak more highly of David, Craig, Tiffany and the team. It took a long time to find a buyer but that was clearly an issue with the housing market being so challenging. The team never faltered in their determination to find a buyer and we lost count of the number of viewings they managed to set up. Our eventual buyer saw our house back in June 2023 but they needed to sell their own property before they could make an offer and achieved this by switching their own sale to Thomas Merrifield. Once we had the chain established, the team was very proactive in moving the process along.

The only issue we had was that some documents were rather unclear, but they responded promptly to my feedback and updated the docs to fix this. Service has been friendly and efficient.
