20th Apr 2024 (18 days ago)COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME. ZERO STARS. Tied in to a one sided 20 week contract (in their favour) & very little interest from buyers or A & H. Total apathy, they are not the local company we all once knew & loved, in our case for over fifty (yes 50) years & used happily in the past to buy & sell property several times. They are part of a national company called SEQUENCE. Phone calls not acted upon or promised call backs not made, false statements ('we have people queuing up to buy houses like yours'). Make sure you negotiate the length of your contract & selling commission percentage if you are brave enough to use them. They are toying with people's dreams & don't seem to give a toss. Neither did their sister company in Weymouth where we are moving to but that's a story for another review.

Purton Wiltshire) didn't disclose that he has a soakaway far to close to property 17. After refusing to move it or my offer to move it we had no option but to pull out as the end result could undermine the foundations and cause damp. Speaking to the Council Surveyor the soakaway needs to be moved to min 5 mtrs away from the property. It might also affect the properties close by. We and our buyer are now left with legal fees as we had already got to contracts. BUYER BEWARE. IT IS SAD THAT THE NEXT INTERESTED PARTY WILL NOT BE INFORMED OF THE SOAKAWAY ISSUE BY THE ESTATE AGENT BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE TO TELL YOU. THEY WILL NOT TELL YOU. THEY HAVE NO DUTY OF CARE TO TELL YOU ABOUT THE PROBLEM.

Mandy provided guidance when needed and chased solicitors on my behalf, Faye’s persistence helped my exchange and completion go through all in the same day. Chalk Street have proved that you don’t need to spend extra hundreds of pounds to sell your property.
3rd Mar 2024 (9 weeks ago)Im shocked at the level of lack professionalism disreguard of potential tennents aswell of lack of care. I arranged a viewing for saturday. Its a good job i called up to confirm and check the address. Turns out my viewing had been cancelled as property was gone. No one called me to update me. I would of been standing out side waiting in the rain and no one would of been coming. To add insult to the matter, when asked why i wasnt informed i was told there was 40-50 people viewing, they didnt have time to call so many people. The lack of care and whatever attidtude is some what concerning. So basicaly we dont care about letting you know you been cancelled. Leads me to wounder if they are the same with tennants. If something needs replacing or fixing will they even respond?

18th Mar 2024 (7 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

9th Apr 2024 (29 days ago)As a first time buyer Chancellors have been extremally helpful with the whole process and at no point made me feel silly no matter the questions I asked! Michael Hughes who handled the viewings was especially helpful, informative and polite.
6th May 2024 (2 days ago)Stephen at Avocado was brilliant. Explained everything from our first meeting. I was able to view photos of my property before they appeared online. Throughout the process he kept in constant communication and were available if I had any questions.

SHF are a breath of fresh air, getting my properties back to a good standard with great suppliers, keeping me up to date at all times and finding new tenants. Highly recommend them.

You are not are not left to just get on with it by yourself, I was given a lot of help by property manager, mine is Jade Small, thanks to her a lot has been arranged and checks being made to make sure you are settling in nicely in my new home. Thanks to all, a really nice experience in what is normally very stressful times.
