I used them after picking a cheaper agent first, who didn't have any success, and the general experience was pretty underwhelming. Acorn were proactive - they got me 3 offers the first weekend my property was on the market (the previous agent had it for 6 months with no offers!). Great communication and the whole thing was really very smooth.

Other agents may well of given up but Homecastle didn't until the sale was over the line. Professional, polite and excellent communication at all times.

4th Jul 2024 (11 weeks ago)I would highly recommend Jake West if you are looking to buy a house in the Shirley area. I found Jake to be extremely efficient and accommodating during the viewing process. He has good local knowledge and is an absolute pleasure to deal with. I ended up buying in a totally different area but would have definitely bought through Jake if I hadn't!
10th May 2024 (18 weeks ago)Alex James and Callum were very kind, helpful, patient yet where necessary and appropriate weren't afraid to be direct and plain with me, and in Alex James's words it was to help me and I don't doubt that at all. He provided useful, helpful tips when I was experiencing feelings of being overwhelmed to be calm and collected yet respectful towards our new and upcoming landlord and general other tips for how any tenant is informed of things. I'm not surprised they've got such positive, spectacular reviews. It's a family owned and run estate agency too but overall have felt greatly supported and helped throughout the referencing and anything else they were to do to help our landlord. I have no problem recommending this estate agency, they seem very well knowledged, experienced, helpful, kind, patient yet also very honest. Thank you to Alex James and Callum you've been an honour to correspond with. Anyone who can be as good with me as they have been is worth this recommendation and honest review. Edit: Point of criticism/feedback: They should make it known more clearly than expecting or asking someone to read the Ts and Cs that they're allowed to pass on your details to utility companies as it was rather stressful to discover when I had attempts from companies to set things up and emails telling me they had, the utility companies that is and I prefer to do things myself. And ask if you want them to pass on your details or not. As when I asked about that they said it's possible. Constructive intended feedback ^

Marina showed us the property and was our main point of contact throughout the process. She was absolutely lovely, always super helpful, and made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. As first-time buyers, we had a lot of questions, but Marina was patient, informative, and always quick to respond. 24th Aug 2024 (23 days ago)Subject: Complaint Regarding Staff Behavior - Urgent Attention Required Dear Admin, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint about the unacceptable behavior exhibited by two of your staff members, which occurred during a recent interaction with me and my family… On 24/08/2024.. I was involved in a situation with a male staff member, whom I believe is named Matt, and a female staff member with long red hair. This encounter left me feeling intimidated, bullied, and subjected to what I believe were racist remarks. Additionally, their actions caused my children to become extremely distressed to the point where they were crying and screaming. I had to seek refuge at a friend's house to calm them down, which was both unnecessary and deeply upsetting. Here is a summary of what occurred: 1….. Accusations and Aggressive Behaviour: The female staff member accused my husband of bumping into her colleague's car…. When I asked for evidence.. she changed her story and then abruptly left the scene when I started to question her… This was extremely unprofessional and confusing. 2. Racist and Offensive Language.. The male staff member, Matt, confronted me in an aggressive manner… He used foul language in front of my children, despite my request for him to refrain from swearing. He then made a remark that I found to be racist and deeply offensive, stating, "Oh, people like you..." When I asked for clarification, he laughed and continued to use derogatory language, calling me a "crazy woman." This behavior is not only unprofessional but also discriminatory. It is deeply concerning that your staff would treat a customer in this manner, especially in front of children. I believe it is crucial that Martin & Co. addresses this issue immediately to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future. I would appreciate a prompt investigation into this matter and a response detailing the actions that will be taken to address the behavior of these staff members.
